Has anyone seen the odds at the bottom of ESPN screen over the past few days? Odds to win conference championship, etc.. Every team but Rutgers is listed for the B10 with Illinois being the longest shot at 400-1. Not sure if we are the only team with NO CHANCE but I did see that even Kansas is at 300-1 for the B12

I'm in Vegas right now...stopped in a few sportsbooks last night. I did see Rutgers 500/1 to win the B1G, Illinois 300/1, Maryland 125/1. At other end Michigan at top 13/10, OSU 3/2

saw another ESPN site had a list of the bottom 10 in cfb..not power 5 but D1

and you guessed it...there sits RU...it's depressing to consider that but I can't argue with it

and yet we are supposed to put up with another year of ASH thanks to HOBBS incompetence?

Not really sure what Hobbs thinks in a totally honest moment...but the season ticket number have to be screaming at him...whether he had the chance to make a change I can't say...but his calculator must be telling him he should have if he could have...

it is a technical issue, they cannot fit the odds number on the screen, because it is very big and too many digits.

Want to make a little charitable wager on RU finishing in the bottom 5 of all of D1 based on the Sagarin ratings? They don't and you write a check for $25 to the Center For Food Action in Bergen County. They do and I'll write a check for $25 to the 501(c)(3) of your choice?

People like you enable this garbage to continue.

In what way?

Because I am not a miserable prick typing the same thing over and over on a message board?

I don't think you understand how the world works. Bitching at people who have no ability fix the problem does nothing.

No response so far.

How can there even be odds on something that is literally impossible to happen? If I was a book I’d give someone whatever odds they wanted if they were willing to hand over the money to me in a wager. There’s a better chance that RU doesn’t win a B1G game this season than there is that they win the conference title.

To OP's point - perhaps the source of the ESPN odds is a New Jersey based book such as FanDuel? They must exclude Rutgers.

Not only does Rutgers make this week's ESPN Bottom Ten (along with UMass and UConn), but a photo of Chris Ash graces that page on their website.

Mich. St. - 22/1
Northwestern - 25/1

Not a good look.
How do you recruit with that out there for all to see ?

He also doesn't understand timing. You don't tell a smoker with stage four lung cancer to stop smoking. The decision to keep Ash, whether we agree with it or not, already passed. Any type of crying or whining or bitching at this point only harms the program. Support the team and let the games be played. If Ash doesn't win 6 games, then direct all wrath to Hobbs. But until then, all these constant bitching and complaining is simply doing more harm than good.

This is the BIG difference between us and the big boys. The big boys know how to circle the wagon - look at Penn State. Rutgers tho - we eat our own.
