Camden head coach Darnell Savage had this to say about Rutgers recruiting South Jersey.
“They started to recruit South Jersey and take care of us down here, but they started a little too late. This year, Rutgers had a nice coaching clinic down here and it was nicely attended, so they were starting to make inroads.”
He also offered up some names as to who he think would be a good fit:
“The guy right across the bridge, Matt Rhule. You also have Mario Cristobal. I also like [Ohio State defensive line coach] Larry Johnson, and even like him for Maryland, but I don’t know why his name is not popping up.”
