Look, the NCAA is corrupt and has no bounds.....and it is CLEAR to me, this is what took place.

Indiana and WVU were clearly more qualified for NCAA bids as at large teams and Indiana has an outgoing HC in Mike Woodson ...and Indiana knows playing in the NCAAs, just delays the inevitable end of season in a few days....but if by chance Indiana won 2 games (unlikely but not impossible as a possible 11 seed vs a 6......they could have been playing NEXT week, with a lame duck coach.

This is CLEARLY a sham....Indiana knew they wanted Devries from WVU as it's next HC AND the only way it could happen, would be if WVU did NOT make the NCAAs....so WVU, clearly with a resume to be in, was left out....so there wouldn't be a delay on WVU playing a game Thursday or Friday....OR possibly winning a game and extending this for Indiana beyond today.

So WVU gets hosed with no NCAAs AND, Indiana steals or gets the coach they wanted.....don't try and tell me strings weren't pulled this weekend behind the scenes, because it's too obvious now, this is what happened.....the last bids provided Sunday night made ZERO sense.....

Now WVU has to pivot, with no NCAA bid, a senator making news and asking an attorney general for an investigation into the NCAA and he has no clue that his state and program, were just part of a bigger situation WAY beyond his awareness level.....

Shrewd moves folks.....the next time someone tells me about a teams resume or Q1/Q2 nonsense....or anything else, save it.....the NCAA yet again let's us know they're open for business and if you have enough money or influence, you can get them to look the other way....

I thought I was in the middle of an Oliver Stone conspiracy movie as I read this

If this was a Netflix movie plot no one would believe it. Reality is stranger than fiction.

It's not complicated.....bac....did you have WVU in your brackets....?? I think ALL brackets of relevance were 111 out of 111 with WVU In....not a coincidence.....

Explain how in less than 48 hours, two teams with better resumes get left out.....and the coach agrees to a new deal.....let me guess, they started negotiating Monday AM.....LMAO

Definitely a straight business and metrics like all analytics can tell any story you want to justify a point. Useless

Jordan Bramd and Nike bought UNC’s bid

So what you’re saying is… Indiana, a team that could have made the tournament, somehow pulled strings to keep both WVU and themselves out—just to hire the coach, who could have signed with Indiana after either team’s tournament run? Meanwhile, Indiana helped UNC get in, whose athletic director just happens to be the selection committee chair (even though they don’t vote or sit in the deliberation room). And on top of that, there’s a possibility that he may be financially incentivized by UNC making the tournament?

ight.

Yes....you got it.....

And I will wait for the comments from bac and others how the players should not be able to transfer and leave, meanwhile a coach can sign a 5 or 6 year contract and leave at a drop of a hat.....the double standards are endless, when its not what someone likes.....

Makes no sense dude. Even if they had spoken before, it just would’ve waited until after the tournament. No coach in their right mind doesn’t want to make it for their own resume. There’s no way this went down. Literally zero chance.

I am In mourning and didnt watch selection show and havent even looked at a bracket

I just sorted ncaa teams by wab

Committee leaned on it hard

Yup. Now do NET.
The metric that everyone used as justification for Rutgers getting snubbed in 2023. Best NET ever to get snubbed at that time.
(UNC has a better NET than we did).

Then finish it off sorting by OOC Ranking - another metric many have used to justify Rutgers being out.
"Losing to #5 is better than beating #200".

Indiana was in 99.1% of brackets....average 10 seed...

West Virginia was in 100% of brackets.

Of course, there's absolutely nothing to be concerning with.

There's no benefit in extending this process beyond this week, the portal is "officially open on Monday. Today is Tuesday.....Indiana and or WVU would be playing at the earliest on Thursday.

WVU was in 243 of 249 brackets...10 seed

Indiana was in 214 of 249...11 seed

Indiana is not giving up a NCAA bid

the simple explanation is that they MAGGED WVU who hadnt won a meaningful game for almost 3 months

Bubba put the thumb on the scales and as usual the ACC got an extra team with a marginal profile

Indiana didnt get it because quite frankly their resume sucked too...nothing out of conference and only 2-9 vs field and not passing any eye test

I have to say that I love that their governor called out the NCAA. It would have been great if we had the same support when we were screwed out of the tournament a year ago, when virtually EVERYONE had us in the field.
Yes, our governor should follow the lead of the great state of West Virginia

WVU should be in for TX. Thats it. Using WAB
Clearly the conference tourney didn’t matter zero. The question is how much? If WVU wins the Colorado game are they in? Certainly if they did what Texas did and Texas did what they did - the field wouldn’t look the way it does.

Out of curiosity - what about Texas and UNC?

The impact of the conference tournament is notable on Texas just because of the stark contrast there vs. WVU. But how much?

WVU is in if they go to the B12 semi finals. Texas out with a first round loss. Thats the other extreme. How many wins in those tournaments turned things? Or was it more that losses hurt but wins don’t really help?

The WAB is pure. Makes the most sense.

It is flat stupid that a team that goes 1-1 is looked at different if it beats Team A or B.

I get what your saying but I like SOR a little better. I think WAB is unfair to midmajors like Drake. I get how the math works but I highly doubt there are actually 40 teams out there that would’ve done better than 28-3 with their schedule.

And it was pretty clear to you 2 years ago that Coach Pike pushed out Cam Spencer to free up playing time for Gavin Griffiths.
(Still waiting for your mea culpa on that one.)

I think your conspiracy theory is a bit far fetched.

But that’s not to say that the NCAA is a complete sham and there is 100% bias that exist when picking the teams.

UNC got in when they clearly shouldn’t have and it just so happens that their AD heads the selection committee and gets a $70K bonus if they make the tournament and additional bonuses if they make the sweet 16 or better?…

The Ncaas are not what they used to be,just more games at end of year. If st John's loses early no story lines In nyc

Meanwhile as you write this conspiracy North Carolina won by 100 and silenced the criticism

I’ll bet heavy they beat ole miss too
