It’s time for a new approach. Faster point guard. More versatile. Drive and finish. Pull up J. Think Eddie Jordan in 75. This is what we will have with JMike.

Will he start? Obvs not. That’s why Noah is here. But he will play. A lot. He will be getting ready for his buddy Ace and hopefully Dylan.

The future is now, and I’m excited. Roll it out, let’s go.

I’m okay trading a mediocre next season if it means getting the guys who will be playing alongside Ace, Sommerville and (hopefully) Dylan more playing team next season.

Not saying next years team can’t surprise us but silver lining the extra minutes for these guys could come in handy in what should hopefully be a pretty special 24-25 season.

Remember these thoughts during the early season growing pains and some wtf plays& losses. Not much choice now, but go the youth route, just be mindful there will be some rough games as they learn & mature on the court during the season.
You are right, but let’s please not have it happen when we play Stonehill . . .

Really like Davis but now he HAS to contribute as a freshman vs it being a luxury

Pending who we can land in the portal

New approach starts day one, no excuse not to go with a faster paced offense, Hobbs is gone, PM is gone on with the show, there will be some growing pains as we transition but we can live with that

As you know, the days of “red shirting” are pretty much over in this time of NIL… if you can play, you’ll play. Now. No time to wait. By the looks of it, against good completion, he’s ready. Play him.

That's really not the point. He's one of 3 guards on the roster. Depth is a massive problem. We have zero depth and desperately need at least 1 B1G quality rotational guard at absolute minimum preferably 2

Be careful about filling out lineups, look at what has transpired over the last month or so.

Nobody seems to believe me but Griffiths is capable of playing guard so we could add a guy who is more of a 3
Pike really plays 3 guards the difference between 2 and 3 is minimal

There are only two positions in basketball in 2023. Perimeter Players and Post Players. 🤔🤔🤔

Griffith is a perimeter player. Along with Simpson, Fernandes, Davis, Hyatt, Chol, Mag. Obviously, some players can do both. Including post players that can play on the perimeter.

I think he plays 3 in my opinion. Match up problems for opponents. Hyatt or Wolf at 4, IF we can bring in a center in portal

Did Chol redshirt last year?

IMO, If a freshmen is #12 or #13 player.on the roster you can and.should redshift him. He is not helping you win games and only plays a few minutes when.the lead very late in a game is 20+ .Even playing 5-7 minutes in the 3 or 4 early season blowout OOC wins for the year is meaningless.

JMike is not that… it depends on the player, obviously

Yes he reclassified

😂 that’s funny. You’ve seen him right? We now need him to play immediately just like Gavin.. you realize that, right?
I’ve only seen highlights
Depends on who transfers in.
I’m sure we won’t play with 9

Everything else is correct but Hyatt is not a perimeter player. He’s been much more successful in the post. Mag is somewhat of a hybrid.

Generally agree with this, except with NIL and allowed tampering nothing is set after the season just ahead. Too many unknown variables year to year now.

So maybe he stays around 4 years and grad transfers on you in June of his extra year? Redshirts will be a thing of the past Beginning now.

Griffiths is basically the only real 3 on the roster. Everything about him screams 3 and he has 0 competition with Paul gone. He probably can play some 2 or 4, but 3 makes the most sense
