How many years until we pay up for a real coach.

Since basically coaches are on four or five years cycles (I dont think Eddie will get fired after year 3 even if its horrible.) I would say 8 years. Eddie flames out in year four. By then we are making enough money from the Big Ten to shell out for a reasonably well paid coach. From there it will take another four years to get to middle of the pack in the conference.

Please tell me how we do better next year after losing our best player...
The difference is that this year we had only one player teams needed to stop, and if they stopped Myles, they stopped us. Any game in which we got even marginal contributions from a second or third player kept us in the game, which is the basketball works--spread the floor and make the defense cover everybody. Next year we will have Etou (assuming he doesn't leave), Foreman, Williams (who will be better than this year), Sanders, who looks to be able to spread the floor and drive the lane, and Doorson will be a sophomore and should benefit from the off-season's conditioning (think: weightlifting). And then there's Greg Lewis, who is still an unknown variable but has potential to get 10/game. Net-net is that there will be more players who will contribute, and that will spread the floor and get us more points.

I'm predicting at least 14 wins next year.

Go ahead, trot out your reasons and complaints and all the history you can muster. I can take it. Of course I may not read it, but I might. 14 wins, minimum. The year after that, 17.

Good one, thanks!

How many of those noted in this paragraph will actually be playing next year.
