What's up with Glasgow?

I do not see Glasgow competing anywhere at the opens.

Am I missing something? When is he?

This kid is dynamic and we are going to need him in the lineup next season.The proper training with proper techniques along with his athleticism he can be special.

Virginia Tech is doing a great job with Lewis and I hope we turn Glasgow into another RU Beast.These boys trained together and won multiple state championships.

Grades so I guess he will not be attending RU.

That's a shame with all of that talent.

I thought he was a great recruit for RU keeping a kid of that caliber to stay in NJ.Wow this is disappointing so we need to add another middleweight, with Richie gone next season and JVB going into his last season.

I don’t want to speak for RutgersAlum but I think he knows Glasgow is not at Rutgers now but wondering why he is not participating in open tournaments while he is doing a Prep year.

It’s a great question as I thought we would have seen him at a few of the PA college opens.

He has completed what he needed at St. Benedict's Prep (so he is done there), and is waiting to get cleared to train after a minor procedure. Hoping to hit one or two opens in February with all intentions to attend RU in September (or the summer).

Asked around and here is what I got from a reliable source.

He has completed what he needed at St. Benedict's Prep (so he is done there), and is waiting to get cleared to train after a minor procedure. Hoping to hit one or two opens in February with all intentions to attend RU in September (or the summer).

This is good news! so hopefully we can whip him into shape.He would need to get his feet wet in a couple of opens probably with mixed results initially.As long as he is ready to go next season.

Who knows I wonder if this was the plan all along.He would have had to redshirt this year anyway with Richie coming back.This gives Glasgow an extra year especially if he was injured.

The recruiting class with Janzer,Benner,Robinson,Lightner is looking good with Glasgow part of the group now.

Bill has said the entire time the plan has been for him to be at Rutgers next year. Nothing here has been a mystery.

That being said, thanks to obrats for the confirmation.

I'm pretty sure the plan was for him to be at St. Benedicts with no competition, just practice. They wanted him to solely concentrate on his academics. Once he got that in order he would then start competing in some open tournaments.

A 2nd procedure in the last 6-7 months? Related to the elbow injury or something else? Anything to be concerned about?
