Hey, let's not make fun of the ACC's new whipping boy!

I do think Cuse got a pretty nice NJ package in Parker and Halloway. Not that I don't prefer Battle and Hewitt, but I still think those Camden guys are good players.

I believe its coincidental with the general economic demise of upstate NY in general. I grew up in Rochester and even though Roch was an economic GEM in the 50s, 60s, 70s...even Rochester has taken such a nose dive I refuse to go back even for a visit...after my 1st and last visit in 2008.

Cuse was always considered the homely town east of us with an expensive private school that NONE of us(I am a Cornellian) could fathom why it attracted students and also prospered in basketball, lacrosse and football. Cuse also had a rabid fan base from Albany to Buffalo and all parts inbetween...and many of THEM have left.

Since the 1990s almost 40% of upstate NY people have relocated(read fled) as the job market dried up and Syracuse was hit harder than most because it didnt really have big industry(like Rochesters Kodak, Xerox , Bausch and Lomb etc).....over time the area has just become undesirable. Rochester, Buffalo and Cuse are all on the "Most ditched Cities" that people are leaving in droves. The weather is also a big factor.

Then Cuse joined the ACC...a conference it has little in common with...and the usual fanbase isnt buying into it. Add recent(and many past) academic scandals and frankly...Cues is just withering on the vine.....
