For those of you who do not follow recruiting or HS Wrestling.

Rutgers Wrestling commit and Pope John Wrestler JoJo Aragona wins Flo Wrestling's who's #1 after defeating #4 Tagg from Ohio (UNC commit) and #2 O'Toole (Missou commit)from Wisconsin making him the #1 Wrestler at 138.

Kid is gonna be a stud in college.

Match with O'Toole was great. For those of you with Flo Wrestling you should check out both matches

it's a verbal commit, right?

Yeah, but it's about as solid as you can get. He was considered a national recruit for a while and has been committed to Rutgers since may.

Wrestling signing day is just over a month out.

Wrestlers also for the most part stick with there commitments when there made. You get very few flips like you see in football

Jo Jo could our first # 1 ranked recruit we got right out of high school. Winston and Ashnault were not ranked # 1. While Mason and Suriano were #1, they were transfers. If Jo Jo wins the Beast of the East and the NJ State tourney, he will be our only # 1 recruit in history.

Stronger than oak?

There are plenty of "flips" in wrestling, just not as publicized as Football. Just look at NJ you had Foca Iowa St to Cornell and Fernandes-Va Tech to Cornell plus a bunch of National kids change their minds this year. They are 18-19 year old kids...does not matter the sport, they change their minds!

Wrestlers can sign their NLI starting on Nov 14th.

There should be a of couple battles between Benner and Aragona in the room.Add in Santos when he is back now you have a good log jam of 149 pounders.

It should be noted that Benner beat JoJo this past year in the state Semis.

But you never know with how these guys will grow. Look at Nick Gravina and Jordan Pagano.

After seeing what I saw at who #1 think it’s safe to say jo jo separated himself.. great on his feet and has high wrestling IQ.. pa boy that wrestles in nj.. I’ll eat a shoe if a healthy Jo Jo doesn’t win states this year.. let’s get this NLI signed already and can’t wait to c him in the lineup!

Aragona looked great on his feet especially his defense against Keegan’s scrambling. He showed a great motor as well. Like most HS guys he will have to work on top and bottom to compete at an elite level in college. It took Ashnault two years to get there. Benner is a stud on top and will help him in the room.
