PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers women's lacrosse (7-3, 1-0) faces No. 7 Johns Hopkins (6-2, 1-0) on Sunday in Baltimore. First draw from Homewood Field is set for an 11 a.m. national broadcast on ESPNU, with Mark Dixon and Sheehan Stanwick Burch on the call.

Winners of four of their last five games, the Scarlet Knights look to start 2-0 in the Big Ten Conference for the first time since joining the league in 2014-15. RU's past four matchups with the Blue Jays have been decided by one goal, with Rutgers and JHU 3-3 in their past six meetings.

Women getting shellacked unfortunately the women have a long long way to go and despite our talk the other day I am not sure this is the coach

Watched to show support. But only lasted to seeing the 2nd Rutgers goal called off for a crease violation. Much like the men’s team, seems like a young team that’s learning some important lessons.

Sadly, I don't see the women being very competitive in the B1G in the near future based on how the 2026 recruiting cycle panned out.

The top 3 club teams in NJ for 2026 class are STEPS, BBL and CLC ranked #5, #10, and #24 in the country made up of some of the top '26 girls in NJ. Rutgers got 0 girls from these 3 club teams in the most recent recruiting cycle and just 1 NJ recruit at all. Unlike the men, they are not that active in the transfer portal to make up for the shortcomings in NJ recruiting.
