MVB takes the mat hoping to give Rutgers the lead. He will wrestle Nate Smith of UPJ
 
Van Brill gets to a single, walks it back to the center and finishes for the takedown. He immediately follows it up with four back points on a tilt. Time expires, and MVB will carry a 6-0 lead into the second period. Van Brill starts the second on top
 
Van Brill with another take on the edge to extend his lead to 8-1. The second period ends with MVB on top. He has 1:07 of RT to start the third period, and will be on defense
 
Van Brill's RT is slowly erased, as Smith rides hard for over a minute now. MVB escapes, and now leads 9-1
 
Smith with a takedown, which will take away the major decision. Smith ends the match on top, but MVB wins 9-3.

Donner follows up with a take down to increase his lead, but lets Austin go. The period ends with both guys on their feet. Donner is up 3-1 heading into the third period. Austin will go on defense.

Grello gets to his feet, and circles out to get the escape. He is now leading 5-2
 
After one, Grello carries a 5-2 lead. He will start the second period on bottom
 
Grello out right away, then follows up with a takedown. He leads 8-2
 
Grello gives up a questionable takedown as the period ends. However, Biddle is hit with a locking hands. Grello leads 8-5 heading into the third period.
 
Grello manages to hold on to win 9-6 with the RT point. His victory puts Rutgers out in front 12-9.
