This Presidential Medal of Freedom. petition for Yogi was posted here before, but glad you put it up again.
I think many on here think Yogi's a lock ( and very well could be) to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom
but adding your name on the petition couldn't hurt and might help, if it's the only way Yogi gets that honor.
I can't believe Yogi needs around 8,000 more signatures to reach the goal of 53,975 that site claims needed by 6/08/2015

You can find this link on the Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center site as well,. In case you want to make sure link is valid.

I grew up in Brooklyn in the late 50s /early 60s and was a catcher, and pretty good one thru HS after I moved to NJ. This guy, and Ellie Howard , were the guys I looked up to. My big brother took me on the subway from East NY Brooklyn to 161 St Bronx many many times in those days. Pack a brown bag lunch , get to the Stadium early, and get some autographs from Yogi, Bobby Richardson, Ellie, Clete Boyer, Moose, Hector, etc. Mick and Rog came late and didn't sign too many. Zap, I would see your Dad at Jackals games (I live very close to there) often a few years ago, and seeing him always brought back my years in Brooklyn. I hope he's enjoying his Golden years.
