Can't disagree. NJ wrestling imo is top 3 or 4 in the country. Rutgers might not be as big of a giant Cael was seeking to awaken when he went to PSU but Rutgers imo is one that could and maybe should always be in top 10 and some years challenging to get a trophy. They pack their matches with fans. Have nice facilities. The foundation is certainly there.D1 wrestling is such a simple formula = great coaching, lots of NIL money, or both. We don’t have either although I don’t think SG is a bad coach he’s just not the guy to take on DT and Cael in a family’s living room. There is so much talent within a 3 hour radius of RU we should be a top 10 program every single year.
Probably should take this post down.
OK… Judge had three homers today. Could’ve hit 5. Good for him. That’s what he’s paid to do.Some guys seem to always have their chin out and, way too often, take a hook to the jaw.
He was a frosh that any decent coach would be able to correct, mold over the course of a season. Nothing new.Did he always pass the ball when he was double teamed, or did he try to score himself?
Did he take three point shots with a percentage of around 10%?
Did he ever look for an open teammate?
Was he a rim protector or was he consistently lost on defense?
The bottom line….not a good teammate, but worse, a selfish one.
Wtf does he know about college bball? His compares to pro ball is telling. Why is he there? He is HORRIBLE..Does anyone else find Stan Van Gundy to be extremely annoying?
Oh, I didn't know that the additional scholarships count against the cap -- thanks! I wonder how many schools will use up their cap money on scholarships for kids who are not that likely to turn into starters.I'll get back to you on that. It's in the NIL link I've posted at least 4 times now. As I said the first 85 don't. Over that yes.
If I'm wrong please explain this to me..

House-NCAA settlement could clean up wild west of NIL
There may be a silver lining in an unlikely cloud hanging over the darkened world of collegiate athletics.floridastate.rivals.com
$2.5 million of (the $20.5 million) can go into increasing scholarships,” Alford said.
Within the House Settlement is a provision that allows schools to increase the number of scholarship opportunities to the full roster of players and count up to $2.5 million of those scholarships towards the $20.5 million cap. Rather than 85 scholarships in football with 20 “walk-ons” with no scholarship aid, FSU has the option to now fund full scholarships for all 105 football players if it chooses
"Sought after". Agree that Lathan, at least, is a big loss. Makes you wonder at the BB knowledge of some on here. He was our third best offensive option (could argue for Acuff) and worked hard. He was only a freshman and to be thrown in to B10 play and handle it the way he did deserves praise, not derision.Who said Pike can't evaluate talent. Seems like a bunch of his players have or will be sort after.
Yeah... he's definitely known for that. I play off of it with him from time to time because I find it interesting that he trolls them so much while most of us are indifferent. That may change if Rutgers becomes more of a threat. I always did agree with you that PSU fans should want to see the kids we don't get go to programs like Rutgers instead of teams like Iowa and OSU.Tbh a lot of psu posters have clowned on RU but I don’t pay attention to who. The main culprit is Matters tho even tho he claims to not be a RU hater lol.
Flags fly foreverUh oh. How dare you compare any other program to Rutgers!
Rutgers is and has always been a unique situation and can't be compared to anyone else in the world!
Funny how the experts are educating you about Colorado.
It's actually really funny.
If anyone tried to say Syracuse and Donovan McNabb had "stain" still they would he laughed at and mocked.
"That was 30 years ago. Nobody cares. Current players weren't even born."
But Colorado and Eric Bienbiemy are still relevant 35 years later.
Heard this directly from someone who has wrestled with Rutgers/SKWC but is not a current team member. Have also heard this among shore conference wrestlers around the time Dean was at VianneyNever heard that about Dean. I have never seen him pout or not give max effort in the room. The staff has never said a bad word about Dean he hasn't been an issue at all.
