OT 2025 NJ HS Football News…

Camden Catholic HS Coach resigns after going 9-2 in 2024. Camden Catholic is now looking for their 6th head coach in 10 years.

And if you look at the head coach’s Twitter page, he is reposted most of his former players HUDL links as they’re “looking for a new home.”

Football Rutgers inks Kirk Ciarrocca to extension through 2027 season

Very good point. That hurt Nova and then Laviano, who experienced the worst of it when Ash hired Mehringer, who was energetic, but not ready to be a coordinator.

Nova may not be the best example as Fridge did wonders for him as a new coordinator. Laviano I absolutely agree. That first year under Ash might’ve been the single worst collective coaching job in all Rutgers history for a season in any sport. Ash brought in coaches who plowed forward with their so called systems without having the horses to pull it off. Laviano right in the thick of that. We had the worst cast possible for the roles those coaches expected played.

Having Caroo in 2015 was a help to Lav, but his numbers still say he could’ve been successful in Flood (really just a continue of Greg’s pro style system). He might’ve been a slight downgrade from Nova at QB, but he still did a good job considering what we lost on blocking. Nova does not have the same level of success without Burton and Kroft. They were a huge factor. Our fans forget that.

Little boy?

Bro, comparing heavy weed use to getting schizophrenia that less than 0.001% of people who use cannibas receive to the GUARENTEE of health risks with daily consumption of alcohol is absurd. Absolutely absurd.

But hey if you wanna remain ignorant on something and keep on a losing fight that will never go your way be my guest.

Absolutely ridiculous that in 2025 we still have morons who buy into the Reefer Madness and believe Weed is as harmful as alcohol. Stupidity, truly
Weed doesn’t have to be “as harmful” as alcohol. You are claiming there is zero harm to weed use and it’s not so.

I do not preach against the use of pot or alcohol but there is some evidence that long term pot usage impacts brain function later in life.

“Long-term cannabis users' IQs declined by 5.5 points on average from childhood, and there were deficits in learning and processing speed compared to people that did not use cannabis. The more frequently an individual used cannabis, the greater the resulting cognitive impairment, suggesting a potential causative link.

The study also found that people who knew these long-term cannabis users well observed that they had developed memory and attention problems.”

My 68 year brother in law smoked daily from his early twenties to late forties. The decline in his cognitive function is striking and obvious to every one. Even his 99 year old mother can see it and comments on it.
Oh I don’t disagree on cognitive function, the same occurs with daily drinkers as well.

I don’t say this to be harsh though, but if you’re brother is 68 and losing cognitive function, unfortunately it’s probably not the cannibas he consumed daily 15+ years ago that he hasn’t had in his system for years. Unfortunately, he’s probably developing something that happens to a lot of us when we get older.

It sucks man and I’m sorry, my dad started to slip at 69 years old (never smoked) and unfortunately today at 74 he requires assistance as the dimentia has taken over. It’s heartbreaking to watch and in all seriousness if you need someone to talk to as you’re family is going through this I’m here to help and you can send me a DM

You shouldn't be saying this because...it's just not true.

There's ample science that has connected heavy cannabis use to psychotic disorders (e.g. schizophrenia). This is well established now and the early findings are setting the stage for further confirmatory research. Schizophrenics have a 2.5x rate of death relative to a general population.

lol, bud, the amount of cannabis one needs to consume to become schizophrenic is an absurd amount, like copious amounts of concentrate, RSO, etc. It’d be like the equivalent of taking a 750ml bottle of jack Daniel’s and chugging the entire thing. Over and over again.

The daily smoker even is not going to develop scitzophrenia. Additionally is it the schizophrenia that caused the death or the Marijuana assuming something happens as a result of the schizophrenia? I’m entirely serious when I make that argument as well as I’ve heard over and over and over again ‘guns don’t kill people, people do’ when discussing the legitimate #1 cause of death in this country of children. But that’s a different discussion.

Comparing Alcohol to Cannabis in terms of health risks is like comparing Xanax to Aspirin.. sure both have some risks, but it’s silly to have the argument which one is riskier

OT: Another nice game by Simpson

Really believe that? Simpson wasn’t pushed out in favor of Davis? Fan base didn’t turn on him? I gotta bridge in Brooklyn for you. Covid wasn’t created in a lab either? Note to Choppin if you don’t think there wasn’t pitchforks read every post from last year. SMH. Fanbase did have pitchforks every single game.

How many minutes Davis getting? Do you really think Simpson wouldn’t have taken starter minutes like Davis is getting? Simpson wasn’t starting for St. Joe’s early either. Don’t think he would have done that for RU? Doesn’t make sense.

Marginally better? How about quadruple better? I liked great foul shooting and taking over games. You? When has JMike ever won us a game? I await your response.

So you’re keeping Mag over Simpson? Mag over Simpson by a hair?? Really? The guy who quit on Rutgers and threw in the towel halfway through the season over the guy who gave 100% effort and hustle and defense every single game. Remind me to not have you pick my team. RU serious??

There’s no way to know? I’ll just look at this year and last year. Pretty easy way to know. Just check out the stats. Sure B1G is better than the A10 but besides shooting every stat by Simpson is far better. SMH.

Text me when Davis wins a game for us. Even you have to admit Simpson did often. Do you really think we sniff .500 without Simpson last year? He didn’t have Dylan or Ace. Who do you think does better with those two?

Aliens.

Zero deaths caused by cannabis yes, EVER.

When did you make the leap that driving while inebriated was legal? It’s not! Your argument is that one must break the law and start driving while intoxicated in order to cause a death by automobile…. That’s not caused by cannabis. That’s caused by stupidity and anyone dumb enough to drive while intoxicated. Interesting you bring that up though as drunk driving deaths happen at a FAR greater rates and is not factored into the 500 deaths per day in the United States caused by alcohol. No thats 500+ deaths per day based on CONSUMPTION. Find my a single death cause by consumption of cannabis alone. You can’t.

Heavy Alcohol use over time destroys one’s kidneys, liver, brain and heart… that doesn’t occur with cannabis. Heck the one potential negative we have seen with COPD/Breathing issues is caused by the smoke itself when consuming cannabis and now you can just pop a gummy and avoid that entirely.

Bro, respectfully, you have no idea what you are talking about. It’s all good though, pots not going away and something about watching weird squares try to justify ‘Reefer madness’ is just amusing to me these days

My kids are nowhere near even thinking about drinking(hope not at least) but heard from several other parents that alcohol is not seen as “cool” these days
In all honesty, the cocktails of today, by and large, are weak as hell.

We need to get back to our roots on the cocktail side. Champagne cocktails; manhattans; rob roys; anything served in a martini glass. I think these spirit mixes in a can are just... destroying the value proposition... because they are eroding the allure and sophistication of a well-mixed drink.

When I think of a cocktail, I think of James Bond. Not of a can. No self respecting Bond would drink a long island iced tea...nevermind an LIT out of a can.

Rant over.

A Healthy Dylan Will Spark A Run

You add his production when healthy and this is a different team with different results. Dylan is aware of the hoopla regarding Flagg’s 42 point game, and will take it as a challenge. He will put this team on his back. Because of this I believe we will go on a winning run with him producing at pre-flu levels. F*ck all the negativity. Let’s get some wins with Dylan leading the way.
I just want to see how we can compete in the B1G with a healthy Dylan and Ace.

Zero deaths ? You must be high. Lol also have you seen the stoners on the road ? You spot them all over now running red lights , stopping when they are not supposed to , swerving and doing 20 miles per hour in the fast line on and on. Both alcohol and drugs are bad .

How lucky is Kyle Flood?

the offense between 09-10 went from more of a hybrid to a full out spread.
At OL the scheme was a bit different but the biggest difference with the OL was the talent and, sorry Howie, if you ever look at the boards, tge Center position. Howard B should never have been at center. He would have been really good at OG or OT.
His shotgun snaps were the slowest I have ever seen.
Savage also had one major fault, he had zero pocket presence.

The reason for the OL decline was because of a couple of things- GS never put a priority on OL. He had years that he would bring in only 1 or 2.
We also had a couple of huge failures as well- Forst just never even wanted to play- he did it for fun but it didn’t drive him. We had a couple of others that also just never lived up to what they could have become.
We did start back to getting a few good OL back into the program- Lumpkin, Nelson, Johnson, Bujari, Muller etc
2010 just happened to be that perfect storm…

But every OL that has played for Flood that has made the NFL will tell you it was all about what he taught them.

A Healthy Dylan Will Spark A Run

We lost to Princeton and Kennesaw St previously with Dylan. Our best win is a home win against a Penn St team likely to be on the bubble. We haven’t done a thing on the road or on a neutral court to date, even with “the most dominant player in the B1G”.

This team will definitely win a couple more games behind strong performances from Ace / Dylan, but there is nothing to suggest we’re capable of going on a legit run. Not enough pieces, not enough consistency. Sorry
Hahahaha. You get my vote for the negative Nancy post of the month. Congratulations.
