I think both with wins on Sunday could play their way back in but its tight, especially with Texas winning and UNC/SMU/Xavier lurking plus bid stealers. Neither wants to near the last in or two

Just a note, Hobbs found Ndongo. Hobbs is gone. Percentage wise that greatly reduces your “hits”

Blending your points together. NIL trumps home court (not scary anymore for any opponents) and any practice facility.

But now we have a bigger problem. Recruits want money, but they also want to play in the ncaa tourney. If we couldn’t do that this year why do any recruits want to come here. It blows my mind we still celebrate a 1976 final four. Was that team great, of course. Do they deserve to be remembered. Yes. But today’s high schoolers don’t care. And they don’t even care about 2019-2022. We’re in a heap of trouble. The only chance is to get an island of misfit toys, with heart and character, get them to buy in, develop them and retain them. AND THEN, and this is the key part, build on that. That’s where we blew it. Before NIL we didn’t recruit well 2021-23. Can it be done, sure, it was done once. However the odds of getting hit by lightning again are slim.

Another game, where neither Dylan nor Ace was the best player on the floor. Think this is significant more than would’ve been guessed to start the season.

Can’t rely on freshman and a few sophs-with-some-potential or it’s gonna be an even more miserable season

Maybe it will work out in that we will have more NIL to spread around (not majority going to the top 2 leaving nothing to fill out rest of transfers)… is that the reason our transfer class ended up sucking so bad? I’m don’t know the details. But maybe if the same amount of overall $ is available we get a better transfer class cuase we don’t have to spend all the NIL on 2 guys?
