How lucky is Kyle Flood?

There is a shit ton of revisionist history and memory holing in this thread
I mean - if one were to dig up the strings following Flood’s promotion to OC in name or even right after he was named HC, how many posts do you there were claiming he was a “bad” OL position coach? One has to isolate 2010 and put the blame on him for the disaster that one season became to make that case. It’s one thing to argue his accomplishments were overrated. Quite another to classify him as bad.
RU in 2010 had the worst college football season I ever saw.
The loses, the sacks, the EL tragedy, losing Savage etc people know about.
But people forget RU began the 2010 season in national news for weeks after RU student jumped off GW Bridge.
From Sept on, 2010 was a continuous tsunami of wreckage.
GW was in hospital every night, players like Lefeged had hard time playing again that season.
I thought GS was exhausted by 2010 and wasn't surprised he went to NFL
It was a disaster season but most of that wasn’t Flood’s fault specifically. Certainly not to the point where it makes any logical sense to make that a focal point in defining his career as an OL position coach. At least not if you intend any attempt at being objective.

A Healthy Dylan Will Spark A Run

You add his production when healthy and this is a different team with different results. Dylan is aware of the hoopla regarding Flagg’s 42 point game, and will take it as a challenge. He will put this team on his back. Because of this I believe we will go on a winning run with him producing at pre-flu levels. F*ck all the negativity. Let’s get some wins with Dylan leading the way.
That requires game long stamina.

Stop the Whining and Look on the Bright Side...

We coulda beat Bama and A&M on a neutral court.

I am not giving up on the team. The season is already below expectations but I still think they can make some noise and surprise us.

That said.. they have an internal struggle to get past. You think we're disappointed? How do you think the players feel? They have to get over that. They have to find a way.

Trite expression time: Tough times don't last. Tough people do.
Agree somewhat. I'm not giving up completely until I see the team with a fully healthy Harper, an improving Bailey, and what I think can be improved supporting cast, if Acuff and Grant are a much bigger part of it and can contribute decently like the last 2 games. The Columbia game with just Harper/Bailey hitting on all cylinders shows we're capable of being much better and I like to think we can also do that against B1G teams with those two plus an improved supporting cast. I'm not "confident" that we start playing much better and go on some nice run of games, but I don't think it's a pipe dream either.

USC ran good stuff against Illini

The reality is that with the level of depth in this confrenxe , you need a lot of depth to just be physically able to avoid let downs

Mentally ??? Completely different story …lot of teams handling more travel than ever ….and lot of roster have a lot of new pcs, sone of which not used to this type of travel and this type of grind

It would be better for us to see a real division between top, middle and bottom with where we are now , but the reality is, expect a massive recession to the mean and most, if not all, bwtween 14-6 and 6-14…….

Brad Wachtel: “Might be time to pull the plug”

What does pull the plug mean with 16 games left ? Stop playing. Forfeit 16 games ? His tweets have always been annoying and always an extreme unnecessary knock on Rutgers. He gets caught with so many tweets that bite him in the ass.
Something that Schiano said at a coaches huddle about 20 years ago comes to mind. Schiano was asked about a remark an announcer said during a prior game & Schiano responded that most sports announcers are former coaches who got fired & could not get another coaching job, so they became announcers whose job is to question employed coaches. There is usually a very good reason why they are announcers & not coaches
