That (not guaranteed) part could screw up everything.4th round pay? For 4-year contract (not guaranteed)
Contract reference site Over The Cap provides a rundown of rookie cap numbers for this year’s class. The numbers might move a little, but this provides a solid framework to work from for determining how much each pick will make in 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026.The first pick of the fourth round will sign a contract worth approximately $4.72 million and receive a signing bonus of approximately $887,172. The second pick of the round will receive a $4.707 million contract with a $867,484 signing bonus. The numbers decrease each pick until the 33rd pick where the player will receive a $4.376 million contract with a $536,532 signing bonus.
Bo is built diff.. best training partners isn’t his top priority and it’s not for every top recruits either.. i.e. Alirez going to N. Colorodo and still winning nationals….. Bo was open minded enough to consider every school to start, which means he doesn’t only care about the “standard path” but rather what best sets him and his family up overall…Who were you thinking about when you said "best... workout partners"? Right now, 133. 141 and 149 are numbers 9, 15, and 21, respectively. Granted, Gibson is there and Parkins and Harrer will be arriving, but they will benefit from Bo more than he from them. I think Rivera would have been good to have, Ashnault less so given what Bo did to him in freestyle. Maybe you should move back to Jersey and be a volunteer coach. There's some good sunny and bluegill fishing in Jersey lakes.
Suriano isn't a good example, he went to PSU first, then came for two years before moving on again. Ashnault was interested in helping Rutgers turn the corner, but even he later departed when he wanted better training opportunities. I do wish there was good reason for Bo and others to consider Rutgers, and there might be if he and Jax came. But there are other things that are needed: a big-name coach, high-level assistants, and competitive NIL. Bo alone would likely make a difference by attracting others who would like to train with him. And if he stayed on after graduation, that would satisfy one of the coaching needs. Today, there is no one there that can hang with him. He values having great (not just good) training partners, which he would have at Iowa (Spencer Lee), Okie State (Gillman), Penn State (top 1-5 in 141 and neighboring weights). It's the unfortunate truth.
As I said above, Bo alone would make a difference to us, but he would need to bring Jax with him or attract another top guy to keep him sharp. He would also need to have more impact on the program's intensity than the other way around. To my knowledge, all the talk about his dad is speculation at best, although that, too, would help in recruiting. I have to believe a Rutgers asst. position would pay more than a Catholic school. I don't know that Rutgers is capable of being that creative or getting the needed support from above.
Bo, Jax, and Melvin, in addition to having Magro and Gibson, are dream material, but we know that doesn't happen at Rutgers. I don't get caught up in pipe dreams, but this one has had me thinking.
Ok so to summarize...
Alejandra Razo, whoever she is, said she heard that Mike Rodriguez, whoever he is, heard from some unnamed source that the Mets are putting together a package for Vladimir Guerrero. Sounds like confirmation to me!
That said, I wouldn't be shocked if the Mets were to leak this information (true or otherwise) to increase the pressure on Boras. But if so, I doubt that they'd be leaking to Mike Rodriguez
Imagine liking 100F heat with 110F heat index anywhere.Imagine dreading going from NJ to Vero Beach in January
Not sure if you mean ice from freezing rain (unlikely - maybe just a little - more of a rain or snow question for some) or slushy snow freezing up on untreated surfaces as temps drop (could be an issue, especially if we get a few inches with temps likely above 32F to start in the afternoon and then dropping with precip possibly changing from rain to snow). The latter scenario seems more likely to me.Could we looking at a not-so-nice icing situation on the roads as the temps fall on Sunday into Monday, even with a minimal amount of precipitation?
Ok so to summarize...
Derkack may be the worst rutgers player ever during my 25 years of watching Rutgers basketball that gets this many minutes. He belongs at Merrimack.
Extra points for the "Fletch" reference. Not true. It’s all ball bearings nowadays. Science
Myles graduated from Rutgers and was free to use his additional year of eligibility however he wanted. He didn’t owe Rutgers anything. Why would i take the L? Missed the biggest layup in hoops history, regressed under Cronin, hurt OUR
team by leaving. Cronin sold him a bill of goods. And what’s wrong about our engineering grad dept.
I honestly feel with another year of development under Pike he could have been a pro backup. He had some tools but Cronin made him a human screener. Sad to see with that potential. Remember we root for Rutgers not UCLA.
This is a good and accurate assessment of his game. Not sure why the staff can’t make tweaks to his game, teach him to limit his bad drives and shots, maybe they have been trying to get that message to him and he is not listening. That would explain the benching. The guy has assets that can help, but he has plenty of liabilities as well.I think the kid is athletic, quick, hustles, has hops and can run but needs to translate those abilities into basketball play. He has poor form on shots, poor judgment on when to shoot and when to pass, finishes poorly at the rim, inconsistent at the FT line and needs to move better without ball and when guarding man without ball.
He’s a flawed player but has ability you can’t teach and needs to improve abilities you can.
Let’s see if this sends a message and resets his mindset to earn mins.
