OT: Things in sports that need to disappear

- Hitting out of a divot in the middle of the fairway. I pipe a drive and end up in a divot because some guy before me is pissed off because he chunked his 7 iron and couldn't be bothered to replace his divot? Speaking of which... hey butt head... rake the damn bunker too!
Just move it 2 inches to the left or right like the rest of us….

Knox father arrested at state tourney match

Districts and Regions don't have a bench area. The wrestlers and coaches sit in the stands with everyone else. Some Districts and Regions may break down to one mat for the finals. Schools will place chairs on both sides of the mat for the wrestlers. That can be considered a bench area for the finals.
I think the violation he committed was going into the stands while the team was still participating in a NJSIAA school sanction event. I would think any wrestler would have to follow the sportsmanship policy until the event is finished.

GAME 29 MICHIGAN: Fitting end

Blaming the refs for this season is weak and typical Rutgers. This team is very poorly constructed, poorly coached, and lacking B1G caliber players. The refs are about 50th on the list of reasons for our failures this season. Always amazing to me how people focus on the obscure and ignore the obvious to make themselves feel better.

Nobody is blaming the refs for the season JFC some of you people are complete duds.

GAME 29 MICHIGAN: Fitting end

What kind of recap is this?

A joke of a write up without even once mentioning the refs, that’s what it is.

“The reality is RU did not deserve this game based on their play in the 2nd half”…gtfo with this.

B1G picture, RU fans have earned the right.....

To be upset......??

To be angry......???

To feel despondent.....???

To take the next steps towards improving and have earned the right to compete going forward???

Here is the bigger picture, which takes a piece of Michigan last night, MSU at MSG without Dylan Harper......the debacles of Kennesaw and Princeton......and further back in the football season with a 3-0 start, resulted into a Friday night lights showcase vs Washington, where RU got outgained and outplayed, but won anyway to go to 4-0.....,only to see it unravel with 4 of the most hideous and ugly 4 losses, that derailed a potential 9+ win football season....the ups and downs of sports.....

Why is a B1G picture being used this AM.....?? Because RU has positioned itself for the "rights", to earn heartbreak.....to feel thr pain and the joy when RU wins games.

RU is still an unknown in both sports and for the 1st time in its sports history.....it is no longer handcuffed with a partial revenue stream with a partial payment based on getting into the league 10+ years ago........

RU doesn't find itself outside of 1 of the 2 (or maybe 3 top conferences, SEC, B1G and maybe Big 12.....), where there's no revenue sharing.....which in the B1G picture, is "cost of doing business".....

I'm not going to tell fans that the Ohio State robbery a few years ago didn't hurt....or that the blatant non-call or double dribble that cost RU last night isn't highway robbery.....it is exactly that and more.....

At the same time, RU has to now capitalize on things and understand that there will be more games like Illinois in football and Illinois in basketball in a season....the league has now created must see TV content or something to discuss weekly, all year round.....RU just has to level up and get right back into it....one or 2 games in our favor or against us, won't stop this progress.....

With 20M in revenue sharing at our doorstep for the future, RU is on its way up and has a path towards being more competitive and more successful....it's now up to Schiano and Pike to close the gaps in recruiting and not just find star players but to build rosters to get back into position to experience more Washington Friday night football moments, more hopefully we can avoid some of the Illinois football debacles.....all I know is being in the B1G provides this highest levels of competition and I'm all for it.....

Time to close these enormous gaps on recruiting, these levels of competition make for very close games and games that actually matter. In the B1G picture, this is all you can ask for, the opportunity to play and compete on a more level playing field.

If Rutgers goes 19-15, I think we get a bid.

dont worry a 20-16 is never getting in

Good. At this point I don’t even want it out there as a long shot. Let’s go into the BIG tournament with do or die mentality. Give it our best shot and let the chips fall. Treat it as our post season…

In terms of the last 2 games - don’t lose Minny game. Would love to see slightly less bad D vs Purdue and a glimmer of hope that we could pull it together enough to make the BIG tournament fun and competitive.

Thats where we are at. Lose Minny game and we don’t deserve to be in the BIG tournament.

Dylan Grant Not Playing!!

Why in the second half of every game does Pikell start Grant in the second half and then he takes him out at the 3 minute mark to never see the floor again in the second half?? He has been playing very well and I just don't understand it we could use his size to help with the rebounding and except obviously for his 3 point shooting he has been pretty good offensively??

GAME 29 MICHIGAN: Fitting end

But you have no issue dumping on nil, college basketball today and the players and coaches every chance you can get. You used to be objective and fair.

As many here can’t seem to grasp the difference between the best and worst in the big ten isn’t huge. It’s highly competative and winning isn’t easy.

All the sickness and injuries early in the season really hurt us. Lost time where the team could have jelled earlier. The team is a team today where it was Ace and Dylan and the rest earlier in the season.

Ignoring NIL, the refs and other excuses is putting your head in the proverbial sand.
The difference in the body of work when healthy versus not is reallly stark. Definitely a tourney quality team when healthy. It’s really a shame. (That’s not to excuse the roster being thin or being overly reliant on freshmen but it’s a bummer).

GAME 29 MICHIGAN: Fitting end

Its not my thing to bellyache about the refs. Its just another excuse among many to as why RU didnt get it done this year. One excuse after the other. No one was talking about the favorable refs vs USC. Michigan was an awful 21-32 at the line by the way. The refs didnt cause RU to score only 8 points...3fg in 11:14. To me the story of the game isnt the refs. If people dont like it fine. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
