Where is BKin118? What are his thoughts?

Wow..:there’s glass half full and then there’s you! You’re a great fan! I don’t agree with almost anything you posted but I respect the hell out of you!
And yet BK is actually tied into real money folks unlike 99.99% of this board and in the inner circle. Ru66 and others have mentioned that as well. These folks aren’t done with Pike and have a similar view to BK. I have heard the same from the few I know. Disappointment and frustration with the season hell yes but packing it in Pike.. nope.

He is paid as a top 25 head coach in America? Are we getting results like that?

He has not earned the right to stay here long term when we have trended down the last 3 years and he completely fumbled a once in a 50 year opportunity at Rutgers. He's is cooked dude. I would bet on it. What is changing next year? It will be a team of all underclassmen plus some garbage transfers from Elon or some school no one has heard of and we will limp to 15-15.
Your miscalculation is in assuming Rutgers has the same athletics aspirations as most other universities.

Mediocrity is the goal at Rutgers. Just look down the hall at the nameplate on the football coach’s door.

Only here does .500 get ‘em raises and extensions after raises and extensions which make them unfireable even if there is eventually interest in doing that, which there won’t be.

No it’s not. If he did nothing prior to this..then sure.

What excuse am I making? This season sucks all around. But he’s earned the right to stay here

On what basis is Burton not the same caliber as Ludington? Burton has been to every huge tournament this year and won the Powerade tourn, won the Escape the Rock Tourn and lost in Beast finals to Henkel from Blair.

While I agree, last night was the time to upset Ludington, I think he knows that it is his best chance to win a title is up rather than at 175

In my opinion, 1.Knox, 2.Burton, and Ludington and Perrentin are pretty even for 3rd best in NJ.
FYI-MatScouts has Burton 12th in his top 20 pound for pound wrestlers in the country(Ludington not in top 20)
I got my Ryan’s mixed up. Confusing Ryan DeGeorge who is a sophomore at 132 with Ryan Burton who is a senior at 175. My fault.

I'm not there yet, but getting closer. And it's probably the college game in general rather than our team specifically. Free agency is killing it for me. Not only our own roster turnover. Part of the enjoyment was looking forward to the matchups year after year, following the other BIG teams and how they develop. Now, I find myself asking my kids "wait, who did he play for last year?" about half the guys on the other teams roster.

We're all Rutgers fans, but this game is becoming far too much about the individual rather than the team. The way things are going, I wonder when we take the school names off of the jerseys so the players can use the space for even more advertising and self promotion?

Smith can have breakfast lunch and dinner on match day and still not cut weight. The kid he wrestled problems goes in 140’s and cuts down
Yes, he is talented and a tuff kid. Just hoping he can get big enough to really compete. He will be behind Dean another year, so hopefully next year can pack on a few more pounds.

OT: NY Mets spring training thread

Agree with the whole point but the funny thing is with this lineup- good chance the 8/9 guys have men on base when they come up- so, it may not be solo HR's.

Pitching- The two major pieces to starting pitching are really going to be Senga's health and if Peterson may be the real deal or not.
Peterson to me already proved he's the real deal. He pitched many great games. I consider him a #2 at worse.

I hope he goes 190 because him vs Ludington would be a tremendous finale to the state tournament but I think he’d be better suited overall at 175.

DeGeorge is obviously good but he’s not the same caliber wrestler as Ludington right now. Not to mention Ludington is the stronger of the two 15 pounds up. Also, the road to the 190 finals Chapman would likely see Lavalle in the semi’s who is a stud in his own right.

I think the time to upset Ludington was yesterday and it barely slipped away. Ludington mentally will be sharper after realizing how close he was to losing as opposed to going into the match having just majored Chapman not too long ago.

Ashnault also needed a medical redshirt prior to that year. The big 10 beats your body up.
He isn’t the norm and was focused during his RS. He put on muscle. He was strong prior but after his RS no one could out muscle him. I’m sure he targeted his weaknesses but AA was special.
