Pike Failed the Fans, Minimal Effort Towards NIL Raising Would’ve Made For a Special Season

You don’t think Pike is trending downward. That’s pretty much the root cause to your confusion. It’s right there

I fit a trendline to this in excel and our ranking is actually improving by 5.7167 positions per year with an R^2 of 0.1626

In which exact way do I need to torture the data in order to fit your narrative?

Greg Schiano was in the top 15 in 2006, downward trend ever since.

No. 11 Rutgers wrestling closed the regular season against Penn on Wednesday at Jersey Mike's Arena

Dont think
Penn is considerably more aggressive and unsurprisingly dominating
looks like we did Not get out of bed today.
Only chance is to win 4 of 5 in back end with Yara and Casale maybe bonus.

Crowd is dead. Giving us nothing to cheer for.

Harer’s neutral offense is non existent

Auto renewal of season tickets

What if they’ve added a 10% fee and said “We doubled most of the CFB staff salary in the last year+. As such fans have to pay more. Our expenses increase so your expense increases”?

Or to my earlier question - what if they’ve added 10% and just said nothing?

I'd probably do the same thing & give up all tickets

I'm slowly making my way there. This past season was my last hosting tailgates, no matter how many times my co-host asks me to change my mind.
I'm looking to retire in 2 years, & likely move to NC so giving the Tix up totally will be easy

I cut out the section I wanted to reply to. I'm not sure why that's a problem for you.

He's below his peak. If you graphed the quality of the team by year you'd get a zig-zagging line.

(1) To be fair by two year's ago I meant year 4 which might more accurately be called last year, but whatever. Year 4 wasn't "unwatchable" on offense but it was still terrible. Year 3 was lolbad awful. But again, I do not care if we win games 3-0 or 100-97 and both coaches have achieved a respectable but mediocre win total. Greg Schiano has been at Rutgers for 16 years. Generally I will exempt a coach that takes over a bad program for 3 years. So that's 6 years that don't count. Greg Schiano has had one top 25 team in 10 tries. If that's not mediocre I don't know what is.

(2) You are arguing against things I'm not saying. I'm not saying you need to be on the Pike bandwagon. I'm saying it's weird that there are people who are enthusiastically on the Greg Schiano bandwagon who are also extremely far from the Pike bandwagon. This season has eliminated the people who are the opposite, but there have also been people who were enthusiastically on the Pike bandwagon who thought Greg was horrible. I find both these positions weird.

I really don’t know why this is so confusing. Schiano did not strike out with two top 5 picks. That’s why people are so out on Pike. He tried to elevate a third string center to starter and grabbed an Ivy League pf that did not belong in the B1G. He should know better in year 9.
Schiano has not made those mistakes (yet). It’s not complicated

Minnesota-UCLA a disastrous result if you want RU in the Big Ten tournament

I don't think anyone expects a miraculous run, but the fun of being a fan is to keep hope alive by extending the season to see if it can actually happen.

Anyone who hopes the season ends as quickly as possible is as big a quitter as the players and coaches they're endlessly complaining about.
No, I'm not a quitter. I'm a realist. There is just so much abuse of my psyche I can take. Goodness knows there's enough of that going around now. I've watched every game, and will watch as much of tonights game as possible. I kept hoping for a run. But the signs just ain't there. So if you want to think of me as a quitter, that's your prerogative. I'm just a down trodden RU fan that has had enough of this season.

Composto is one of two wrestlers to ever beat Olivieri in the NJ state tournament but OK. You came into this match looking to be upset and not going to be happy no matter what the results are.
And you'll be happy with losing as long as you can find the excuses.

I like how you cut out one small section of my reply but not the whole thing.

He’s 9 games under .500 in basketball over the last 69 games. Thats trending downwards

You also mentioned that football was unwatchable two years ago. If you have to compare a basketball team with two top 5 picks to the year 3 rebuild in football, there’s your answer as to why people are off the Pike bandwagon

Yeah bc you know how I think. Maybe I care too much and get completely frustrated but think whatever you want.

Sounds like you are one thinking we would lose.
