Map shows a pull back since earlier maps posted this morning. Now 1 to 2in in Philadelphia.Rather than trying to keep all the weather/snow info in the other thread, bac suggested (and I bet @e5fdny would approve, lol) that a separate thread would make more sense, especially given the hoops game Weds night. So here we go. Below is the NWS map of the expected snowfall from wave 2 from 7 am Weds to 7 am Thurs, with the snow likely to start between 7 pm and 10pm Wednesday night, so hopefully minimal impact on the game, but some impact can't be ruled out. The snow will start to changeover to sleet and then rain (minimal freezing rain expected) from south to north through the evening/nighttime, after putting down 1-2" a little SE of 95 from Philly to Perth Amboy (and everywhere south of Philly), with 2-3" likely along and NW of that line from Philly to Perth Amboy all the way to NWNJ and the Poconos/Lehigh Valley/NW Phillly burbs. Could be about 1/4" of plain rain after the changeover for most (with more sleet/less rain in the colder locations well NW of 95).

appreciate you🤙thread posted...
it was as the worse ever that’s coming from lots of people under 40. it is what it is not sure why that idiot keeps attacking people for not liking the music yesterday.Dude, time for you to get back on your meds. I spoke to people in their 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s, and by far the overwhelming consensus was that this was the worst half time show ever.
Thanks, although 2000-2020 was the 2nd snowiest 20 year period in the ~150 year record for Philly to NYC, so your memory is a bit fuzzy on the last 20-30 years. And on warming, there's zero doubt the planet is warming from human activity, but the calls for imminent doom from the left have always been way overblown, while the dismissal of the science from the right are specious - and most of the things that can be done to corral the warming are generally good for everyone (improved energy efficiency, reduced waste/consumption, developing alternative energies, etc.). @DJ Spanky - feel free to delete the climate comments if you wish, although this thread had kind of run its course (just don't delete the thread, please if it goes awry, thanks).I am appreciate of a lot you do, so thanks. I wasn’t accusing you of anything. Well maybe being a little too optimistic for snow. I love snow. When there’s a rumor I run to this part of the board, usually just to be disappointed. I’m not sure how winter is technically measured but it sure doesn’t feel for the last two or three decades of my life we’ve had much of a winter.
I’m not touching the global warming content. I’ll only say, also in my lifetime, we’ve been told a new catastrophe is coming every decade but somehow they never materialize. So I’m a bit skeptical that it’s anything more than natural weather fluctuations.
You can probably use a broom for the light/fluffy snow we get Tues/Weds and if you're lucky the 1-2" we might get on Weds night might wash away in the rain early Thursday...
I don’t think it’s so much arguing about different tastes in music, as it is the decision to have him perform at the SB. If you like Kendrick Lamar’s music, have at it: listen to it, stream it, go to his concerts. But the choice to perform at the SB should definitely be one that has more universal appeal. There are plenty of acts that young/old, black/white would support, and fit this criteria. This thread is really getting silly. I don’t particularly care for Kendrick Lamar’s music and didn’t enjoy the halftime show as a result. But c’mon people — different strokes for different folks. Fact is he’s a superstar with a ton of appeal. Do we really need to argue back and forth about different tastes in music?
I think Rutgers should play in either the NIT or Vegas tourney. Vegas I think is more fun and attractive for the players. We are Rutgers, we should accept any postseason invite. Just like we should accept any bowl invitation for football. Until we elevate to some higher levels with more sustained success, we should accept any opportunity to play more. I am always going to watch RU Basketball or Football as a diehard and a grad, so I always welcome watching more Rutgers sports. True masochism at its worst, I know, but I think many on here always want to see our teams play more as opposed to not playing or less. You could be right. How would you answer this if it were the NIT? And if yes, what's the difference between this tournament and the NIT? Because it seems like some fans have a different answer for the different tournaments...
thread posted...hopefully gets pushed back
i dont like nws putting out a map combining both storms....2-6...the events are more than 12 hours apart...
I am appreciate of a lot you do, so thanks. No, why would I feel guilty about anything I post on the weather? Thought maybe you were referring to me since I post shorter term pattern threads and you quoted my post. Also, much of the area is only a little behind schedule this season in snowfall (while being just a tad unlikely that we didn't get any of the bigger storms, so far for the most part) - it's not like the past couple and there's potential for this to at least be a close to average winter for snowfall, plus this winter is colder than the 1990-2020 normal, so your 3- season state comment is somewhat off (although winters are definitely warmer than they used to be due to the planet warming - the "normal" period used is typically the last 30 years, not the last 120-150 years).
exactly and to showcase their skills in Vegas in front of a ton of scouts....believe me it will not be about defenseYou guys don't seem to appreciate that Dylan and Ace are not only elite talents but elite competitors. They will jump at the opportunity to atone for this season and leave something positive for their Rutgers legacy.
yeah i dont know a pregnant woman with a belly is the right aestheticI remember when rhianna put on a great show and there was a group who was still saying it was bad why put a pregnant woman on the halftime show.
It’s always the same.
You could be right. How would you answer this if it were the NIT? And if yes, what's the difference between this tournament and the NIT? Because it seems like some fans have a different answer for the different tournaments...RU would accept a bid.
Should we accept a bid? Absolutely, who are we, Rutgers, to turn our nose in the air to invites to anything involving the postseason. It’s not like we have a rich postseason history, accept the bid and play.
Dylan and Ace both play.
I'm not sure he did...his 1 year deal is well above what he could have gotten on a longer term and he has the opt out. Wasnt the long term deal he didn't sign equal to less than $25 mil per?TBH I think they would spare Alonso the embarrassment. He lost.
