Respond to my Harper Flu Indiana reply to your question first.
Yes, it can be. Look it up.
The point is, it wouldn’t be contagious on a team trip but the flu would.
And again, have you ever once heard a coach say a player had mono ?
This Stevie Wonder? You could throw Bon Jovi out there at 62 and every person in the entire stadium would be out of their seat singing to Livin on a prayer.
Then we’d be hearing where’s the diversity, why is the art form/cultural statement known as rap/hip hop omitted…
A really great Temptations/Four Tops cover band would have the entire stadium rocking 😊….real talent.
Get Stevie Wonder again!
My point is….EVERYONE would like it, EVERYONE is supposed to like it!
How come every other school can play freshman in bball?
Lets just look at the top 5 schools in standings and frosh playing from day 1
Purdue: CJ Cox, Gicarri Harris played between 15-20 mins a night from day 1. Another frosh played about 8-10 mins a night from day 1
Michigan State: only one true frosh and he averages around 22 mins a night
Wisconsin: one frosh who plays 10 mins a night
Michigan: two frosh who play about 8 mins a night
Ucla: no frosh
So again, it is the norm for frosh to play from day 1 in bball. It is the exception that they dont. This isnt football

Mono is not an STD.
Maybe Ace has AIDS and JWill has syphilis lol what are we doing here
Respond to my Harper Flu Indiana reply to your question first.Okay, so why do you think Ace was taken out?
He wouldn’t .I’m not saying he was watching. Just if you announce that a specific player may be a little under the weather right before a game word might spread around. Why would anyone do that? We were coming off a big win where the team was finally at close to full strength. Pike was probably commenting generally from that perspective. I see nothing wrong with saying that even if he knew Ace woke up not feeling too great. Again - Ace wasn’t listed as questionable. It seemed pretty obvious he got worse and worse during the game and eventually just couldn’t keep going. Obviously Pike didn’t know that was going to happen. I’m still missing what the big issue is here?
No, not a big deal. But Pike wouldn’t specifically say the team was healthy if Ace has the flu. Canned, regurgitated excuse.

Why bring up anything about the health then in the pregame interview if you know your star player has the flu ?
not really. it cripples federally funded biomedical research everywhere. So…more downward pressure on university budgets…placing RU at even more of a disadvantage.
We will throw you a hell of a party if you leave as well.I really hope Pike realizes he’s not cut out for long term success in this new era and leaves with our thanks for giving us some hope for a few years. I’ve come to realize that no matter what happens he gets another year- but if he loses Grant, Sommerville and cant get a decent roster next year he will be gone.
