Actually teams often shoot better at home than other road so no.If true - which it is probably not - same would have applied to MSU.

If true - which it is probably not - same would have applied to MSU.RU prob would’ve shot a bit better from 3 if game was at RAC. Pro arenas often times have lower shooting percentages for college teams. Maybe a cou-of of Acuff or Martini good looks go down
Why RU asking me this? Strange.Dylan would have played more at the RAC?
Not everyone. I couldn't care less if I saw him based on his antics in the past.Gable Stevenson is pure excitement. An Olympic champion. Everyone wants to see him. He brings lots and lots of eyeballs to the sport.
Yes, but since it's based on efficiency, any movement at all is based on performance that is significantly better or worse than the standard set over the first chunk of the year. If you are playing to the model's expectation (win or lose), you won't move much... and 7-8 games set that model expectation up front.Of course - but even still. Now we’re at 20 games played. The impact that any one new game outcome is having in the rankings is likely to be less now than it was then simply because it’s 1/20th of a sample rather than 1/8th.
And before that we were 21-13. The last two year are bad. Everyone knows that Phil.We re 12-25 in conference play since we beat Sparty at MSG 2 years ago.
NBA draft evaluation is often based on potential. It’s mind boggling to me he’s a top 3 pick. Just don’t see it
Dylan would have played more at the RAC?They aren't doubling Ace with Dylan healthy and on the floor.
Guys aren't shooting 6 feet behind tge 3 point line if played at tge RACAce shoots 4-17, Dylan plays 14 minutes.
We lost by 7.
If you don’t believe the RAC gave us a better chance to win….
Because dercak had a good game a healthy Dylan wouldn’t have mattered. Are you not following this very logical flow? They aren't doubling Ace with Dylan healthy and on the floor.
Agree with the 1st two, love the visual on each tee box. Too bad that Howell Park fell in disrepair for a while. Played Harbour Town twice. Challenging, as you can be in the fairway and still not have a clear shot to the green. Never played Baltusrol. Laslty, I love the new course in Old Bridge; my eyes love the pattern until you get to the greens; they are brutal. It's no joke that there are courses that your eyes love the pattern. Hominy Hills, Howell. Harbour Town on Hilton Head and Baltusrol Lower Course.
I'm sure Harris will be in the mix in 3 weeks
Understood. But doesn’t mean he’s beyond criticism. From near sweet 16, to play in loss, to blowing it at Minne and missing the tourney, to awful, to massive disappointment. That’s half a decade. Many of us are tired of the “he brought us back from nothing”. He did that already, many years ago. Then in the same amount of time we’re cellar dwellers again. And folks kept saying, and still do, that each year was just a fluke.Nobody is satisfied with this season. And I have noted that since 2021-22, Pike's B1G record has been trending in the wrong direction. Considering what is left on his contract, and Rutgers does not have big money for a buyout, and Rutgers does not have a full-time AD and a President on the way out the door, Rutgers is stuck for at least another year, probably two. That's the reality, unless some mega donors pony up the money for a buyout.
Fans can bellyache, cry and whine all they want, but that is not going to change the reality.
You act as if I care what you have to say. You're one of the 2 or 3 worst posters on this board, so other than this brief response, that's about all you'll get from me.Stop
They aren't doubling Ace with Dylan healthy and on the floor. It’s not a win at the RAC. I was kind I neutral on the whole idea of playing a conference game at MSG but it was as good a home court advantage as we have had at the RAC this year. I’m not even sure we win if Dylan played - Derkack had a very efficient game on both ends and made up for Dylan’s loss. They doubled Ace, shutting him down. That could have happened at the RAC too.
Correct. This year is Sidibe’s medical redshirt year. I believe she was actually granted another year as well with the Diego Pavia JUCO ruling since this would’ve been her last year. This actually is her redshirt year, she's out of eligibility after this season
Not 1 which silences me crazy!!!!I just think his shooting stroke is so bad, it doesn’t look smooth/comfortable at all.
Did Hayes have one 3PA today?
Couldn’t agree more. We can’t win without Harper which is why I would not have played him today. Watching him warm up he was limping. Clearly not ready. PT until next game. I’m sure today set him back some.We were 1-1 against PSU and OSU in December with a healthy Harper/team, but still not yet playing Grant. And then DH missed the Indiana game, barely played against WI and played more, but very ineffectively against Purdue with all 3 of those games being losses. DH was close to 100% for the UCLA game which we won, and clearly 100% for the NE game on the road, our best game of the year - and Grant finally started playing in those two games, also.
And then we lost to PSU on the road after a very close first half with Harper turning the ankle late in that first half. He clearly wasn't himself after that and we lost. Same thing today. And if one is looking for silver linings, Harper was a non-factor today and Ace shot the ball terribly (but rebounded and played pretty good D), but with much bigger contributions from other players than we normally get (especially Derkack who played far and away his best game), we played a very good MSU team tightly.
I know these are small sample sizes, but just by my eyeballs, I still believe this team, with a healthy Harper and Bailey and an improved rotation with Grant getting major minutes and some of the other supporting players doing at least a bit better (and even without EO), can win more than half of its B1G games. Problem is I don't know when DH is going to be healthy again and if that takes 2-3 more games our only chance to make the Dance will likely be by winning the B1G tourney. And I guarantee you nobody in the B1G wants to face a healthy and hungry RU in that tourney (which we'll make if Dylan doesn't miss more than another 2 games, IMO). Not the season anyone was looking for, but we might still get an exciting last 9-10 games.
So you think we have better resources than other programs in the big bac? You don’t think that do you?do you think every school is paying 7-10 players $500K-1 million
Garcia took 500K at Minny instead of one million elsewhere.....are they paying anybody else..what about northwestern, iowa, penn state......not that these teams have records all that better than rutgers right now..maybe a game or 2 but all these programs do not have Ace or Dylan do they?
Of course - but even still. Now we’re at 20 games played. The impact that any one new game outcome is having in the rankings is likely to be less now than it was then simply because it’s 1/20th of a sample rather than 1/8th.I think most teams have 7-8 games already in the books by the time the first net rankings come out. There's definitely more movement early if a team has an unexpectedly good or bad performance, but that's already 25% of the season to establish a baseline.
