Semi OT: Lobos only undefeated team in D1.

For all you Pikeez please allow me to say I underestimated this man and his coaching staff and they're doing a superb job....MY BAD. To knock off number one at number one is amazing!! I admit to all you Pikeez that I was wrong, but I also feel the same about my initial reaction to Coach Pitino at UNM. But like Pike and the better coaches it's not about who's undefeated, it's about the process.... Happy New Year all.....what a great way to start it for RU fans.

Big Ten

This has been a constant with me since November. The only teams which worry me are Purdue,Ohio State and Michigan State. Illinois continues to be an internal mess and the Northwestern performance today against Brown, the 6th best Ivy was embarrassing. Penn State is currently in a rock fight with Delaware State, who lost to Columbia. The league is winnable, more so regular season than the tourney in my opinion.Happy New Year to all!

No. 18 Rutgers Wrestling Treks to 2022 Ken Kraft Midlands Championships

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – No. 18 Rutgers wrestling (6-1) returns to the Ken Kraft Midlands Championships from Dec. 29-30 in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Fifteen attached Scarlet Knights and one unattached student-athlete compete in the two-day tournament, as RU appears in the loaded field for the first time since the 2017-18 campaign.

St.Rose- Matt Hodge and Jaylen Hodge

A post for the real hoops junkies and recruiting guys…I watched St. Rose at the Red Bank Holiday Tournament. This pair of brothers should be on Rutgers recruiting radar. They’re relatively unknown right now, but that will soon change. They are from Belgium, and first time playing basketball here in the US. So they don’t have the AAU type of recruitment right now. Matt is a junior class of 24 and Jaylen is a freshman. Matt is 6’9 and does it all; athletic build, handles, shoots, jumps, great passer and sense of game. He played with the national team in Belgium. Jaylen will turn into a high major point, he’s about 6’4 and mature. New Head coach Brian Lynch has the European connections after playing at CBA/Villanova, and in Europe as a player and coach.

BB Recruiting 4-star PG Dellquan Warren commits

BREAKING: Rutgers has landed its first commit of what could be a monster, program-changing 2024 class. Dellquan Warren, a four-star point guard out of Pennsylvania, announced his pledge to the Scarlet Knights on Facebook (!) on Friday night. He is in attendance at Jersey Mike's Arena for Rutgers' win over Coppin State.
