Yes, I should have become a coach, a football coach, preferably to a school like Rutgers. Why you may ask? Where else can you make $4M a year and be thinking about getting an extension and possibly a pay raise? Where else can you be less than mediocre in coaching, recruiting and most of all winning or dare I say, losing at RU, and you can get an extension because you can make excuses like, my peers have better facilities or I don't have the NIL money like my peers or it takes time to build something, give me time and an extension and I will get it done, don't look at my results so far, it's a work in progress!
I have been fortunate enough to be very early on some technology companies that I helped build into powerhouses, I am in sales and in my profession if you don't sell, not only you don't make money but you usually get fired. You have 6 months to build a Pipeline and the next 3 months to close a deal, so basically 9 months to start showing revenue. Here at RU, people are thinking of giving Coach Schiano an extension, an extension for what? Can we not get blown out by MD or win maybe more than 1 BIG game? Can we at a minimum win 6 games and can we get a decent OC to come here?
I can understand being smug and holier than thou attitude that Coach Schiano seems to portray, but for what, what has he done to merit that kind of attitude? I have been a season ticket holder since Dick Anderson was the coach and this is the first time the frustration is setting in. We are in the BIG, biggest media market in the country and to have a recruiting class that's bottom of the BIG is unacceptable. To have an offense that's truly offensive, is unacceptable. In my opinion, btw, doesn't mean much, he needs show a pulse on offense next year, win a minimum of 6 games, hire an OC that's respectable, get some transfers here at WR at a minimum, I don't think I can sit thru having fans of other teams take over our stadium and singing their fight songs, I just can't. So, Coach Schiano, you have a year from me, to show improvement, otherwise your going to lose a few long time season ticket holders, comes a time when enough is enough.
