1. The season is effectively over barring a magical run and championship in the Big Ten Tournament. I believe we needed to win all three of these home games to have a chance to dig out of this “resume” hole. The hole is now a crevasse.

2. You can’t spot Wisconsin a large early lead and expect to come back and win. They are too good on offense, hitting 11 of their last 12 FGs of the first half despite some decent defense. The team was completely disorganized in the early going, and it resulted in a big early lead at 15-3.

3. Our offense is lost without Dylan Harper, especially on an off night from Ace Bailey. Got some nice contributions from Acuff, but nobody else could score. Ace just missed too many shots (3-16, 1-5, 2-6).

4. We played much better defense in the 2nd half, preventing back door cuts and dribble drives, and Wisconsin was colder from the field. Forcing 16 TOs enabled our comeback. Trying to find some positives here.

5. We cut the lead to 58-55 (then 60-57) in the last quarter of the game, got some juice and energy going, but then had a few TOs and misses, and the balloon was deflated.

6. We were terrible “at the rim” tonight (my guess is 30%). We got a ton of “tips” on putback attempts but couldn’t connect on any of them.

7. Dylan Grant showed a lot of energy tonight and contributed 8 points (including a quick release 3). He should play 15-20 minutes the rest of the way. Martini should be permanently planted on the bench.

8. What else is there to say? The most promising and exciting season around here in years is on the verge of becoming a colossal failure.

the worst team in the Big Ten if ranking all the teams? If we’re not, we are pretty damn close.

There is absolutely no reason why Martini - the most overhyped portal add EVER- should have been playing at Grant’s expense. None. This game shows this. But player management is one of Pike’s worst flaws.

Sign Ripper the dog from the halftime show. That four-legged beast was fierce. He/she could teach our guys a thing or two and was easily the only highlight of the night.

He gave us a spark at least and some energy. Put him in the starting lineup. Chain martini and jwill to the bench.

See that Williams and Derkack are selfish players. They continually drive to the basket and far more than three quarters of the time (1) get stripped or (2) miss the shot. Neither of them passes the ball to an open player.

Sadly I’m looking at the bottom of the big ten standings trying to see if there’s a way we can finish top 15 to get into the big ten tourney . It’s Defintely doable

Maybe Pike and staff can’t see from the bench, but when I watch from the 200s I see a few obvious things.

When our offense is on no one is dribbling around the 3 point line. There are passing quickly, changing direction, driving and if there’s a path continuing to rim or kicking out. Everyone is constantly moving and the only real dribbling is on the drives toward the rim.

If I were Pike I’d demand the movement on offense and sit anyone other than Ace and Dylan doing iso. Even those two should limit it.

When a shot goes up on offense everyone seems to sprint back on defense. Shouldn’t one or two crash the boards? Definitely everyone should on defense.

I think the ball movement on offense is the key. Our big wins we did that.

I’ll probably be able to attend a lot more games going forward as clients aren’t clamoring for my tickets as much as they were before the season started.

Who and what determines how that money is allocated?

I am sure most fans don't want to talk about it or admit it could be relative to our performance on the court. Without knowing any details, as it seems to be non public, I can't dismiss the fact it COULD (not is) be having an impact on our team.
