All I want for Christmas- Schiano edition

We need running backs, people who can get separation and catch and a backup QB.

Always need big uglies.

Many won’t admit it, but we are playing above our talent level.

You gotta see that Schiano has put the culture in place and the start of a good foundation in place.

Next step is playmakers to get us to bowl level. With our defense we need to score at least 3 tds a game with a couple FTs to get to a bowl.

2022-23 Rutgers Wrestling Season Preview

PISCATAWAY, N.J. — As Rutgers wrestling gets ready to begin the 2022-23 season, there are a lot of questions to be answered.

In his 16th season with the program, head coach Scott Goodale is blessed with a roster full of talent in all 10 weight classes, but the Scarlet Knights’ leader will have tough decisions to make regarding the lineup.

According to Goodale, it is a good problem to have.

NOT POLITICAL - AP Story on Elections Highlights Rutgers Football

Offensive Line

One of the biggest problems with our team is the offensive line. Right now it's basically a patchwork mercenary line composed of guys who slid down the depth chart at other schools. We recruited a lot of freshman lineman. Obviously, you can't just stick an freshman offensive lineman out there like you can at say RB or DB. I wonder how guys like Jacob Allen, Monegro, Kobe, DeCroce are progressing. Ash was recruiting soft swedish guys. I wonder how Schianos guys are doing.

Old Big East

Wanted to start a separate thread on this. I too felt for years that Rutgers foolishly turned down the Big Was. Not the case. I was told by 2 Big East Commissioners that the invite was never tendered. Dave Gavit made an exception for Jake at Cuse and Dee Rowe at UConn. Both his close buddies. The league as designed by the Georgetown AD was an all Catholic league.SHU got the invite. At the time,Rutgers was the top program in the east, slightly better than Cuse and SJU. We all know what happened after.

PS Though Authority is not what this fight is about...I loved the emotion of the 3 chord power song, and the imagery of the young boy who winds up emulating John. IMO children following the lead of their parents, teachers and leaders is how many behaviors both bad and good are passed to the next generation.
