As bad as the season has gone, I'd like to see the season continue with the Crown Tournament or possibly the NIT.

Let's assume the following teams are invited to the NIT:
Ohio State 17-15
Indiana 19-13
Nebraska 17-14

That means the top 2 remaining teams get selected for the Crown:
Northwestern 17-16
Iowa 17-16

That leaves these teams available for at-large Crown births:
Penn State 16-15
USC 16-17
Minnesota 15-17
Rutgers 15-17

While unfair to PSU who has a winning record, I would think RU would get the nod over the rest of the group because of Ace and Dylan.

A weird quirk with the Crown is the first game is a week AFTER the transfer portal opens. What do you do if half of your roster is in the portal? This could help RUs cause since you would still be able to field a team with Ace, Dylan, Acuff, Hayes, Martini and anyone else that doesn't enter the portal.

The Blue Hens 2025 schedule includes Colorado, UConn, Wake Forest, Western Kentucky, Louisiana Tech.

Rutgers Basketball is likely to get invited to both the NIT and Crown per Jerry Carino of Asbury Park Press.

I was just told that Ace Bailey WOULD play in the game if they were invited per a source. Also heard some of the seniors will play.
