8 teams - Florida, Miami, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas Tech, Coastal Carolina, Arizona, UC Santa Barbara.
1 NJ athlete, Barry Buchowski, Moorestown, NJ. His route: St. Augustine Prep, Indian River State, Miami.
Big Ten baseball teams, if they want to compete on a national level with the best teams, need to recruit outside their local geographic areas in significant numbers.
Recruit FL, TX, CA, AZ, OK, SC, VA.
Perhaps satellite camps to recruit?

Baseball has certainly taken a backseat to lacrosse in terms of the spring high school sports in NJ. If you looked at the quarterfinals of the NCAA lacrosse tournament you'd easily find 20+ NJ players on those rosters, despite no NJ teams making it and only one school from a bordering state (Syracuse).

There's a boat load of NJ high school baseball players playing at the highest level all over the country.
The chances of a Lax player appearing in the NCAA is far greater by virtue of the fact there's less than 50 viable Lax programs.

Very true, still I'm not sure I'd say "highest level."

At this year's MLB Draft, there will only two NJ players taken in the first 105 picks (admittedly both went in the first 16 picks - Groome from Barnegat and Thaiss from Jackson). Last year, meanwhile, you had to wait until the 183rd pick to find a player from NJ selected (Brandon Wagner from Immaculata). Going back further, there will two selected in the first 144 picks in 2014 and one in the first 163 picks in 2013.

There were three first rounders from NJ in 1975...LOL on the year!
I was one of them. Willie Wilson was the year before...
RU23...to me the highest level is anyone playing in the ACC, SEC, PAC 12, Big 12, Even Big 10 is a very high level

Very generous including the Big 10 in this discussion. There wasn't a Big 10 team in the top 30 on June 6, 2016.
