Believe it or not give EMU some credit last night

It would have been very easy for their poor play on the offensive end to bleed over to the defensive end, but it never did.

I thought Rutgers was very disciplined in the way it attacked the matchup zone. Very impressed with Eugene giving himself up as a scorer knowing he helped the offense more finding the gap in the high post and passing to others. We also had a decent shooting day from the perimeter without that many open looks.

Despite all that we managed 63 points on 67 possessions which is very pedestrian.

I think we will be surprised when we see EMU actually finish near the top of the MAC and see them in a semi or final game of their tournament.

Why would anyone be surprised? They're predicted to win the MAC West. They have upperclassmen; a successful over . 500 HC (8 years at EMU) and Size. The only surprise may be if they don't make their Conference Tourney Semis or Finals. Teams sometimes have horrid nights. I'm sure Virginia even after taking a 8 month nap from March Madness 2018 would agree....:)

I thought emu did a good job on defense. RU had to have patience, looking for a good look. They did miss a lot of passes from the free throw to the opposite side (which Crispin talked about). I thought kiss had a very weird game. He seemed to pass on a number of open 3s from the corner, only to dribble into trouble.
