Boston College Party Plans

Any suggestions for things to do on Friday around Newton? I'm staying at the Boston Marriott Newton, should arrive around 1pm. Also, any restaurant recommendations around that hotel?

Per my friend:

Olivia's Bistro in Newton
Fiorellas in Newtonville
Frank Pepe's in Watertown
The Cottage in Wellesley
and to check out the restaurants at the Arsenal Yards in Watertown.

All are within 15 minutes of the hotel

This is great, thank you!

BTW, you know my wife, you've been to the RU Ladies Football camps with her and you have a friend in common...

Dare I say that you can purchase directly through BC? No StubHub fees either. I really don't want to hear about how this is helping BC and not Rutgers. I gave my reasons above for why I purchased the tickets.
Sold out via BC site.

L will likely he all RU fans…but isat the far end of the BC student section…have fun!!!

You can quote all the “reported” attendance you want. There won’t be 35,000 fans there on Labor Day weekend
Remember the good ole days when our ticket office always used to estimate 37,000 (pre 2009)? Must be a thing in the ticket office world.

Same here. Something special about being with the hardest of the hard core RU fans at an away game, especially when we win and can serenade the home fans as they dejectedly walk out of the stadium.
That and to be in the RU fan section when the Team comes over after a victory and sings On The Banks of the Old Raritan. Priceless

Guess RU sold out the BC allotment. Not an option on the site anymore.

not sure on that. Section O - Visitors Section was never available on the BC website.
These tickets are sold by Rutgers and need to be ordered by calling the RU Ticket office.
Don’t think that we sold our allocation but I could be wrong (hopefully).

Which parking pass did you buy with the tickets? Better yet, what’s the way to get there from Boston.

Fixed my post. If you go, can you escort me to Section Q, because with my recurring senility, I might wander over to L. 🤣
That’s where I got tickets. I’ll ask my teenage daughter to walk you to your seats so she can earn her volunteer hrs.

I'll probably take an Uber or be going from Red Line to Green Line with a transfer at Downtown Crossing/Park Street.

Anybody who ordered BC tickets thru the RU Ticket Office get them in the mail yet ?
Just checking. Thanks

Brings back memories of waiting until the last minute for paper season tickets to arrive.
Sorry to harp on it, but the biggest reason I would not order through Rutgers.

Metropolitan Boston Transportation Authority
You going to the Riverside station?
I was on the fence about getting those on campus parking tickets for $85, but it seemed like it would be easier to park at the station. The walk from the Chestnut Hill Station seemed about the same distance as from the BC parking.
