Conference Tournaments Discussion Thread

Nebraska wins! I just can't believe how Nebraska completely stifled Maryland and especially Maryland's big men. Unbelievable. Nebraska and the NIT here they go.

In one and done tournament games the importance of a go to scorer like Palmer should never be under estimated.Sanders had a similar run last season at MSG.Nebraska wins 69-61 with six scholarship players.Palmer played 40 minutes in both games.

Florida state - virginia tech game was real good. Fsu wins in overtime after tying it up at end of regulation.

It was still a bad loss for us.

Rule of thumb....find the best player on either team before determining if it's a bad loss....RU has a better player than seniors Palmer and Watson??

RU didn't play well, but it's not like RU was a 6 to 7 point favorite. Nebraska has a tournament capable team and had a run of injuries to some depth and a starter in Copeland.

Nebraska winning today had nothing to do with Rutgers being terrible yesterday. That wasnt Rutgers basketball out there yesterday in any stretch of the imagination
So are you saying that wasn’t Maryland basketball out there today?

Turgeon just said that wasn’t Maryland basketball in his post game presser. He did congratulate Miles and said Nebraska is playing great.

Might be time to give Nebraska some credit. Was it our best basketball? Of course not, same could be said for Maryland. Have to think Nebraska had something to do with this too. They still made their shots when they needed to

It's one of those things that most fans just don't understand....sometimes a team just does not play well.

Sorry Hawk. It was a bad loss. Period. I think it's one of Pike's worse games thus far as a coach. We dominated their big men and didn't exploit that at all. We had fresh bodies coming in and out, which should have worn them out. Instead we were once again flat and the 22 TO's absolutely killed us. And most of those TO's were self-inflicted because of bad BB IQ.

I thought Eugene was pretty darn dominating and scored as much as Watson. I think once Montez got into foul trouble, Palmer was able to go off in the 2nd half. Still, it was a bad loss.

SEC is such trash...Bama came from way back to beat Ole Miss...hello I know one team I will not be picking and that is Ole Miss...I think the level of play in the SEC is garbage. Bama wins and live to see another day. Kentucky tomorrow....this was a Q1 win, same as Florida got over Arky, difference is Ole Miss is a tourney team and Arky isnt. Going to make my job tougher because what if these two lose tomorrow, do they still get in with 15 losses..not so sure... would rather Belmont

And in other news St. John’s getting destroyed at the garden.

St Johns is trash right now. They will be an 11 seed with an outside shot that they go to a play in game as a 12...would love to see St Johns vs Belmont.
