Izzo is old time. I think he does it get his team motivated but he needs to be more sensitive given the times. Thought he would have learned from last year.

He is going to do the camps and pro work outs. Expect he’ll be back but thought DiVicenzo would be back to last year. Powell’s problem is his size for a 2G.
Tough for SHU to win the BET since the offense is so dependent on Powell and hard for him to string three consecutive great games.
Half way thru game 3 of the tourney...Palmer and Watson have played every second for Nebraska.....100 straight minutes.

I’m loving Nebraska. They’ll run out of gas eventually in this tournament but right now they’re not having any of that pansy-ass “rest”. Palmer and Watson are leaving it all out there.
Amazing to play the entire game for 3 straight games in 3 days. They should both be First Team All Tourney Team.
Nebraska followed the Rutgers script from last year right down to the missed front end with a chance to tie like Corey had done.

A few side notes on the game:
Watson and Palmer played all 120 minutes
Roby played 116
The NU AD is on the West coast feeling out some coaching candidates. If can't get right guy Miles will be back. Head coaches Budget is $3.5-$4.5mil.
Nebraska has sent out NIT ticket info and expects a home game(I'm doubtful). The NIT folks know NU will have a great crowd even if just the NIT.
One of the officials in today's game was Kelly Pfiefer. He is one of Creighton"s largest hoops donors and has been vocal about his dislike for NU because he thinks they get to much of the states attention even though they have a worse program than Creighton. He is the one who gave Miles the T today and also was the official that didn't call some fouls on break a ways that trail officials came in and called. He does not hide that he is anti NU. A buddy of mine sat behind the bench today and said the other 2 officials even said some stuff to Pfieffer about his calls/non calls that could be heard. I hope Miles rips him in the press conference. I guarantee NU will be discussing it with the Big Ten.
That official did not cause NU to lose the game. Poor shooting did. I would have to think fatigue started to play a part.
Oh, well. On to baseball season. We still suck at hoops which is not unusual.
Now I have to go prep for flood damage repairs. Our area is devastated by flooding. Every major bridge is gone and the water is still rising in places. Ice jams are not helping. Damage will be in the billions. Expect meat prices to rise mid summer because a lot of the supply went down the river in the floods.
Believe it or not they are saying had a hurricane. Took major rains on a foot of snow that melted and the ground is frozen so nothing soaked in. It'll be 3-4 years before the infrastructure is all repaired. Off to work I go.
Edit: NU AD Bill Moos has said he will make a statement regarding Miles in 45 minutes.
EditII: Moos said waiting till Sunday for a decision on his future. Waste of oxygen.

its really is exactly the same, team comes out of nowhere making a run. You make your own momentum
Hoiberg, Mussleman(sp), and Altman were thought to be the targets. Altman just signed an extension but rumor is there is an out to go to Nebraska(he is a Nebraska kid).
Mussleman has a connection to Nebraska(the state) but I don’t know what it is.
Hoiberg says he doesn’t want to coach in college.
Who knows.

Stop being so soft. His players love him and he is kind of a perfectionist like Rick Pitino. Does he go overboard sometimes. Of course yes, but he only wants his team to play HIS way.
As I have mentioned before, Bobby Knight wanted to come to Rutgers before we hired Mike Rice. I am sure you would have been bashing Rutgers if we hired him also.
Please don't yell at our players you would say.
If you are any kind of sportsfan, you would know that most players want the tough love.(Parcells, etc)

I personally think Altman would be a better higher than Hoiberg but there are so many reasons why hiring Hoiberg makes sense.

in sports it is, always has been. Sometimes that is how you get through to them. I trust Izzo and he usually pushes all the right buttons and then his players thank him...same for CVS who is tough on her players
That is not correct behavior in society. I question someone who thinks it is OK to act like he does with millions watching. He is way over the top.
Hurling basketballs in private is less disturbing than what he does in front of the world.
Ive seen McCaffery and Underwood go ballistic during a huddle. And you have no idea what goes on at halftime with Pike.

Duke/ UNC is off the charts. Zion throwing the hammer down. These two teams clearly are best in college. High level speed and athleticism.
