We should consider going all LMU style at home. Get the younger faster guys involved. If we can’t play D just make it a 90 foot helter skelter affair for the full 60 minutes.
Agreed. It’s very said but our fans just enjoy winkingnof any kind bc our history has been so bad. So even getting to NCAAs was a huge accomplishment(and it should be). Thing is you need to build on that and take it to the next level. I’m afraid he doesn’t have the coaching prowess to do that. I haven’t seen any changes from him over the years to warrant that.
He got massively lucky to land these two legit talents. Now it’s wasted within his coaching.

Put Ogbole and Grant under the basket and tell them they don't do anything other than rebound. Let Harper and Bailey play pick and roll the entire game. Williams can set picks on the perimeter. Nobody else plays unless there is foul trouble.
the further away we have gotten from his time here the more I have appreciated just how good he was and how important he was to our success at the time... he was IMO 5x the player cliff was without the same glamour and hype
in the same vein as i have felt about guys like Mike Teel as we have moved away from their time in football we have not had a qb that has come anywhere close and yet at the time was totally underappreciated with the talent around him

Spencer played for a national championship team, got drafted in the second round and scored 51 the other night in the G league, and shot 12-15 from three. We never ran anything for him. Do you really need to know anything else about Pike?
As per the St John’s exhibition. In the end Rutgers won’t have benefitted one iota from the 2024 recruiting class. Blew it. In a couple years the RAC will be half empty again. So much for the guys who busted hump to lay the foundation 2019-2022.

Bottom line: RU will be in the lower third of the BIG with no post season play. I saw a team that gives up too many easy baskets and can’t make the necessary in game adjustments. Also how many times have I seen Pike take out the hot hand rather than ride it out. That IS Pike’s mentality.
I have bad news for you if you’re expecting more out of the ‘25-26 season at this point in time…
