Didn't Ash make a big deal about making sure this team wouldn't ever quit?

Tons of tough talk from Chris Ash from December through September about how RU quit in the past and every thing they did in the off-season would let him guarantee his RU teams would not quit. Now his OC is calling QB draws on 3rd-20 at midfield, his DBs give up on plays if they are 10 yards away and the offense strolls back to the line of scrimmage.

I predict the Maryland score will be 28-0 Maryland. At least our D is making progress...

Worst quote of the year and karma bit him back big time. No excuses!

Not really. If there wasn't wind, rain / hail- the Peddies would have scored 3 times in the first half.

Couple that with loss of Hamilton / JPO - and I don't see the D being as strong next year (I PRAY I'M TOTALLY WRONG).

I don't think they quit, we are so predictable and boring, we make it easy for the opposition.
Both offensively and defensively

Floods's team didn't quit either (And I am not a Flood Apologist) two of the best comebacks in RU history, Ash looks silly and should apologize.

What kind of tackling was there at the end of the game? Where our players outplayed? YES.

Where they outcoached? YES

But why did Coffi et al sort of push at a 4th string QB who continued to run down the field?

I thought it was powder puff football or two hand touch.

Ash needs to re-evaluate his message, his methods, his coaches.

This year was a clusterf'....of monumental proportions.

MO is right - That Cioffi play was one of the worst I have ever seen. It was literally touch football - No quality coach who means what he says would tolerate that. Hate to talk about specific kids because there have been many other examples but that play did stand - it represented the polar opposite of what Ash has been selling us.

Defense will be better due to the experience and increased size of the back seven. Ash can also develop players on that side of the ball. Our biggest problem is on offense, especially QB, and special teams. Field position is such a problem for us that any team that we match up well with on offense and defense will have a 7-point advantage just because of specials.

Well, we're letting up fewer points. That's improvement, right? :weary:

I don't know if they actually quit, but who can blame them,
knowing that the only QB on the team that could throw, never got
a down, because he was perceived as not belonging to their system.
What system? The coaches gave up on this year, to prepare for
next, so why shouldn't the players. Oden never learned to throw,
and he will this winter? The wide receiver from TCU will learn to
throw this winter? C. Laviano will improve this winter? The freshman
coming in next Sept. will be ready for O.S. and Mich?
I DON'T THINK SO!
Schiano did the same thing. preperceived his QB in the spring.
And lost 80 to O also, and got blown out 10 games.
