Eddie Jordan MUST be fired

bac--you don't get it or are just a gigantic, cry baby- the real point is no one wants to hear your complaining after literally hundreds of posts about firing a coach--we get it , we suck and Jordan hasn't been able to change that-and he should be fired -ok , now go to bed and take your pacifier with you

Bac,

Keep on posting. People from the AD read these boards and we must make sure they know that change must be made.

Bac's posts may bother some, but they are in response to a game... It's not like he's posting that Jordan should be fired on a random Monday night. I understand it's repetitive, but so are the outcomes of the games... Why would anyone expect Bac or anyone wanting Jordan out to feel differently, and are we no longer allowed to vent on these boards?

Listen I can see how it may seem repetitive...I post a lot but there has been literally nothing to talk about but negativity the past two months...whether its job status, losing streaks, suspension, margin of loss, point spreads...its an abyss. I believe a few attacking me cant deal with seeing it in print, they castigate me yet many of them haven't given their own opinion or either just post some passing remark about giving him another year but with no comments or thought behind it

it will all be over soon and we can work on supporting the new head coach and move toward working on donations for funding the practice facility

Sorry but I think national broadcasters comments are a better representation of college basketball outsiders perspective of Rutgers program than your own opinion.
If you want to defend Eddie, this is a dangerous time to start lending credence to what outside opinion is saying about our program. The national media are starting to take notice, and it isn't pretty.

And BAC I don't want it to seem I am attacking you. Are we going to go after someone who has won games vs good teams? Like Mr Sendek. Sorry but we always seem to be smaller than other teams and a couple of times I mentioned it no one responded. It was basically we stink.

Im confident in Hobbs...there are no surefire things in hiring....Eddie has to go, most are sure on that now
No that is not true. It does not look good for Eddie , but no decision has likely been made and most do not feel the way you do .

lots of social media buzz on twitter right now on how embarrassing RU is, from national writer and NJ local hoops writers. Never seen it this bad before.
Guess you weren't around for Shea's football days, or Schiano's early years and giving up 80 to West Virginia, or Littlepage's era. My my how the memory has faded. Given how the cupboard was bare when Schiano and Edfie took over , how did it turn out once Greg got his guys into the program?

IMO, the worse each game gets, the more $ the new coach gets.

You really have to sweeten the deal for someone to come in and clean up this mess.

You're kidding, right? There is no way Hobbs came here without the ability and responsibility to hire his own man. Especially, with his connections to Trenton and his ability to raise money. The only thing I feel bad about is that Eddie is a Scarlet Knight and a good guy. He may be the worst hire we've made since Terry Shea or Craig Littlepage.

Shea had the advantage of coaching in the pre-social media days, or similar things would have been out there. Correct me if I'm wrong, but there was some ESPN countdown of "worst teams ever" and Shea's winless season was one of the teams "profiled"... ? I suppose that was the equivalent for that era.

But I'm not sure why Shea or Littlepage are being mentioned, since they would be examples of our worst hires ever and your post seems to put Eddie in the same category...?

Eddie could not be more different than Schiano. That's not direct criticism of Eddie or praise for Greg, but it's a poor analogy. The 80-7 game was in his first year. In Year 3, Schiano won 4 games and closed the season out with a victory over Syracuse. We were demonstrating progress relative to schools perceived as ahead of us, and our recruiting was on par with Syracuse, Boston College, and the Big East middle-tier. Compare that to Year 3 of Eddie and the current trajectory of the program.

Schiano won 5 in his third year and 4 in his fourth. The biggest difference was he had recruiting going pretty well and the fan base saw tangible progress in the program. Right now our program has no hope and is at an epic low. It hasn't been this bad since Little page. That's why I'm so confused why anyone would want to keep Eddie around.

Because Tom Crean.

I have known Pat for years. You have the right guy as your AD. Give him some time and he will figure this out. Our program was a disaster after Bobby G. He fixed it and will do the same for you.
I sure hope so. I can't take much more of this.

I'm going to pile it on as well. Jordan needs to be fired NOW. I think he should have been fired at halftime during the Purdue game, but this is just getting ridiculous. We're all waiting for less "sucky" moments lately, but the team some how manages to exceed expectations for sucking. Imagine if Jordan is retained, several players transfer, and the team is really back to square one. I'm really hoping Hobbs shows his leadership, asks Jordan for the keys, and gets a competent coach who will actually adjust during the season...And RU Fans have every right to vent, yell, scream, and say whatever they want. They spend good $$ watching this crap year after year!!! If you don't like the posts, either don't read them or find a way to improve the basketball team so the negative posts go away...

Hobbs is going to get you a mid major type. Tim Cluess to the banks!

"Mid-major" coaches now at Power 5 or Big East schools: Shaka Smart, Jim Larranaga Thad Matta, Sean Miller, Mike Brey, Jay Wright, Mark Turgeon, Bill Self, Dana Altman, Scott Drew, John Calipari, Fran McCaffery, Matt Painter, Ben Howland, Bruce Pearl, Mike Anderson, Lorenzo Romar, Michael White, Billy Kennedy, USC coach, Kevin Stallings, Ed Cooley, John Thompson III, Bobby Hurley, Travis Ford, John Beilein, Buzz Williams, Jim Christian, John Groce, Richard Pitino, Tim Miles,

Mike Rice, Bobby Gonzalez, Kevin Willard, Oliver Purnell, . Mid major is a crap shoot. No Sendek in the bunch

you folk should be complaining more about the same crap results game after game after game after game after game than what BAC is posting. Repetitive is 30 plus losses in a row and blow outs of monumental proportions.

Rutgers Mens Basketball is the biggest laughingstock in all of college sports.

PS the 1 positive. Laurent was 11 of 14 from the line. He can make foul shots.
