I have always said they make their choices not based on programs EARNING their way into more prime channels ad time slots... but by pure selfish business motives.. playing the long game.. in this case we see another example of them favoring an ACC game over a Big Ten game because, basically, they OWN the ACC.

This is just the noon game distribution...

Bottom line is this.. they have given much love to ND State.. doing gamedays there, etc.. when they face a higher ranked team, you'd think ESPN would want the higher ranked game on their prime channel.

I have no issues with the other choices.. it is real nice to be on ESPNnews rather than ESPN3. Thank you Big Ten.

ABC: #2 Florida State at #10 Louisville
ESPN: #25 Miami at Appalachian State
ESPN2: NDState at #13 Iowa
ESPNnews: New Mexico at Rutgers
ESPNU: Kansas at Memphis

BTN: Temple at Penn State

It looks like they had some tough choices...

They had a big night game in USC at Stanford.. has to be a night game for the left coast crowd. So they couldn't put FlState-UofL there. And you also have Michigan State at Notre Dame and Ohio State at Oklahoma starting at 7:30pm on NBC and FOX.

So why didn't they park FlaState at 3:30? Well, ESPN's bedmate the SEC has Alabama-Mississippi at 3:30 on CBS. So they stuck Oregon at Nebraska on ABC.. get rid of one of those guaranteed 3:30 PM starts for a Big Ten game then.. while number 1 is playing on another network.

Interesting games they play.
