There has to be bottom feeders of every conference and Rutgers happens to be that bottom feeder for now. You don't see other bad teams in major conferences folding up because they're bad. It's never happened, it will never happen. Please don't waste any more words on the topic.
Thank you. It's simply not going to happen and it would hurt more 1000x more than it would ever help the program.

What coach would come here with the precedent set that the program closes up shop for 5 years if you suck? Every rival recruiter would say that to every kid coming in.

It doesn't happen; it won't happen; and it shouldn't happen.

I don't think it will happen, but it should. And I am not talking about cancelling the program, I am saying it should be suspended until such time as it can be funded properly and regroup.

Recruiting? What do you think is happening now? Losing forever is a lot harder to overcome than saying we suspended the program until the program could be supported properly. Now it is. Come to Rutgers for a new era.

The program it isn't current state is D1 B1G in name only. It can't compete as constituted, and getting your ass kicked every game only enforces that drastic measures should be considered. Given properly supporting the program is not an option, what else is there?

+1, that's not true at all. Most Iowa fans love Fran. Fans were upset about losing to Northwestern and Minnesota, and that's understandable considering Iowa's talent level and the importance of those games. But 95% of Iowa fans do NOT want him gone.

Alford on the other hand was ran off and rightly so.

Ummm...no.

The frustration of fans is very high but reality says the futility will continue unabated until the athletic department understands that the second biggest funding team can't stay as the doormat of the B1G and not have negative reactions from season ticket holders, perspective donors and recruits.Unfortunately,I'm afraid the die has been cast and futility is the winner in a landslide because nobody that matters wants to rock the boat and change the status quo.
