Football GAMEDAY THREAD: Rutgers Football versus UCLA

**** injuries..that's an e cuse for greg apologists
Uh-huh. Meanwhile, totally ignoring the impact of having all the defense’s leaders out injured, with several starters playing hurt, is a good way to identify closet Greg haters.

bac's a basketball first guy.. secretly wants football to fail because they suck up resources basketball could use.. only when football is doing well and he'd look like a fool for saying otherwise will he seem supportive.. he cannot help himself

Both are true. To excuse the lack of developed depth at this point is wrong. To dismiss the injuries as excuse making is also wrong.

There is no excuse for this. I get we have injuries but our D looks worse right now than Akron’s. By far.

UCLA has already shown they are determined to get the ball out quick. We're just giving free yards by playing 8-10 yards off.
Soon as we press, they will take advantage of it. Better to make them execute dozens of plays, giving us more opportunities to create a turnover, and giving them more opportunities to make mistakes, then to easily give up TDs in just a few plays.

If our O consistently shows they can score, then maybe the D will start being more aggressive.

Some injuries is one thing. The amount, and the specific players we have out is a very valid excuse for struggling as the far less experienced players get up to speed.
