I am sorry but that kind of logic does not make any sense - if you turn it over at the 35 or at the 45 MSU’s chance of scoring is not much different especially if it’s a pick. It was complete mismanagment by Schiano - and I am a huge fan of him
He ate up clock and ran the ball until we were out of MSU’s field goal range and there was only time for MSU to run a play or two if they got the ball back.
Keep in mind MSU has only hit one FG over 30 yards all season. So you can get more aggressive when you’re nearing midfield with less time. They would need a few plays to get a FG off.
