Basketball GAMEDAY THREAD: Rutgers versus No. 25 Ohio State

There was no call to review, because they didn't call him out of bounds. They reviewed the shot, but that was clean. The blown call came a second before the shot when he touched the ball.

Establishing Position

Players are considered in or out of bounds based on where their feet were before they touched the ball. If a player leaps from out of bounds to touch a ball before he lands in-bounds, it's a turnover. The reverse is also true, as players can jump from inside the court and touch a ball as long as they're not touching it when they land out of bounds. An example is a player leaping to tip a ball that was going out of bounds toward a teammate to avoid a turnover.

Holden never came back in bounds… watched a few times
It's prob a violation he was catching it as he was landing or split second before he landed. Don't expect that to get called in that situation, was too close.

This. Clear violation. Clear blown call.

the ref was right there too....

people need to stop with the conspiracy theory unless there is an overhang angle showing him out of bounds

bottom line, its the decisions and mistakes late that cost us the game and give credit to OSU
So Jay bilas doesn't know basketball?

Thornton was out of bounds and never got both feet in before taking the shot. That’s the violation, that’s the issue. He never established himself back on the court after he went out of bounds.
In that situation I would say they don't call that 24 out of 25 times. Has to be crystal clear to naked eye as it happens real time, for them to call it.

Very easy to see that one or both of them were out of bounds on that final play in real time as the play was happening. Should be reviewable, but I don't know if it is.

It's not like he needed two feet to be clearly out of bounds, one foot, one tip of one foot could be out, he needed both feet in bounds before receiving the pass before he could touch it legally. That's when Mag stopped defending him because he knew he hopping along out of bounds for the shot.

Pike didn't have faith in his defense to let it play out, and Caleb has to hit that shot. Those two reasons why we lost.

Those two things put us in a tough position to play defense with 5.0 second left and at one point lead. We played good enough defense to force them out of bounds, which should have been a turnover and the end of the game.

Lost by a point is all that matters especially up by 2 with 5 seconds left and letting OSU take a 3 to win - WRONG
Except what I said was not wrong, what I said was completely true yet you decided to respond saying I was wrong. So don’t respond to someone telling them they are wrong. If you have and issue with the way we lost then post that, don’t respond to someone else’s post.

Has a college hoops game ever been overturned the day after? Good night, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs night.
