Good night for RU opponents; not so good for Oklahoma State

Big Ten

Michigan 78 Penn State 73 - 30 for Flaherty in a win that was closer than it should have been
Northwestern 71 Wisconsin 53 - Badgers are bad

Other RU Opponents

St. Joseph's 74 Rhode Island 63 - 2 middle of the pack A-10 teams playing out the string
Wisconsin Green Bay 71 Valparaiso 35 - Phoenix won turnover battle 20-8
Tulane 61 Tulsa 42 - Morgan had 20 and 9 to lead the Green Wave
Savannah State 69 Howard 64 - not much to talk about here

Other Ranked Teams

#1 Connecticut 84 East Carolina 41 - Huskies clinch a tie for 1st in AAC regular season
#4 Baylor 78 Iowa State 41 - Bears led by Johnson with 13, 10 and 8
Texas Christian 79 #17 Oklahoma State 65 - pretty big upset
#20 Oklahoma 72 Kansas 66 - a lot closer than I would have guessed

Also

Army 49 Navy 34 - Black Knights tied with Bucknell for Patriot lead
New Mexico 47 Air Force 28 - service academies averaged 37 points in their games today
Texas Arlington 40 Louisiana Monroe 32 - but this game had the fewest points scored

Today

RU Opponents 4-0

Year to Date

Big Ten 112-39
Other RU opponents 174-104

There were no palindromic scores in 112 games today. That makes a total of 25 palindromic scores in 4,088 games so far this season. It's been six excruciating days since the last palindromic score.

I can't imagine watching a game like UT - Arlington and La Monroe. I really, really try not to be a snob - and I appreciate good defense - but, a point a minute wins it? Blah.

On a completely different topic - but related to teams that couldn't score (last year) - I noticed that UCSB is having a much better season than last year. Not world-beating, but . . .
