By clearing him out he made it possible for Turay to grab it and go,Great thinking on his part.I haven't seen this mentioned but if so it's worth mentioning again IMO.

----- a great move on his part..... Took the punter out of the play, then hope RU players follow up..

You could see by his body language that he had every intention of knocking that punter into next week....and that was it.

Really heady play, and I agree it started a huge momentum swing. Truth is, this really was a team win, there were so many plays.

The OL played well, the D line had their moments, Joseph on the third down stop, Martin, James, Agudosi, Cioffi, Wharton, Gause, Longa on one leg, Laviano, Roth, Federico, Carroo, Patton, Turay, Grant...........Everybody was making crucial plays.

I was thinking, "Please don't fall on it! Pick it up! Pick it up!" It was a relief that at least someone in that group was saying or thinking the same thing.

They are taught to fall on it when in traffic and to pick it up and run with it when in the open field. This was in the open field.

Great, great play by Gause as well as Turay. Perhaps the play of the year so far.

This shouldn't be the case on a blocked punt or FG as the defense would get possession anyway if the offense recovered

Especially on a punt where the ball is so deep already. On a FG there is some risk. I was at a Giants/Eagles game 25+ years ago where the Giants blocked a FG that never crossed the line of scrimmage. The Eagles scooped it up and ran it for a TD to win the game.
