Agree. We actually tried to push the ball down the field a bunch, especially when we had a one on one. Not a bad strategy instead of trying to have mediocre QBs fit passes into tight spots. Problem is the OL has to consistently hold up and ours doesn’t. They’re a little better than 2021 but not much.

Nebraska’s OL is also awful.
The difference in the game was their QB, and he’s not even good.
Ours are that bad
 
I wouldn't try to put too fine a point on it. It all begins and ends with talent and on the offensive side of the ball we have very little. Yes we have a couple of RB's who flash from time to time but not anywhere enough to keep the defense honest.

Nebraska ran one play several times, let the heavy pass rush in and threw a short pass to the left.
it worked almost every time.
