They're not equal. Gender reassignment treatment is sanctioned by professionals. Head injuries are not. Republicans are "protecting" kids from something they want that might improve their mental health. Nanny state liberals are protecting kids from head injuries, which nobody wants or thinks aren't serious. My personal feeling is that parents and kids should decide in both cases and nosy voters and blow-dried politicians should butt the f out, as they should in many things where pushy people on both sides today think their opinion matters. For all the talk of freedom and libertarianism I've never seen more people trying to tell others what to do, say and think in my life.

So your two buddies opinions count and nobody else’s do. Makes total sense. Go find the stats for youth football concussions and get back to me. That’s right, you don’t actually care about the data. You care about “feels”. you and all the other blue haired idiots can keep your kids from playing sports while allowing them to use puberty blockers. Leave the rest of us alone.

It’s not just about concussions but you know that.

Oh good. More made up data. We need to ban bike riding in the woods and diving into pools. Way to much bouncing uo
And down for Billy’s brain

What data did I make up?

But there’s more repetitive brain trauma jumping in a pool than in “hitting drills” in Pop Warner. Got it.

How old are you.
Do you cosch football
When was the last time you went to a pop Warner game or practice
Do you have any idea about the latest advances in helmets.

And honestly, these questions aren’t just for you. My guy there are a lot of people posting in this thread who think it’s 1970 and have no idea what’s going on in todays youth football leagues

Same - I wish our town offered flag after grade 1. We don’t. My guys aren’t heavy contact sport kids and therefore never showed much of an interest in playing travel football until this year. they are 9 and the boys started playing at recess.

So now one of my guys has been saying he want to play next season. I hope he changes before the season and fear of injury has very little to do with why. Once tackle became the only option - Totally turned my guys off to the sport at age 6. And now fast forward 3 seasons later I feel that they are so far behind and removed from the sport that they don’t even realize what they would be signing up for. It would be 5 practices a week. Nothing like what they are doing at recess. My son is a basketball kid - but not terribly fast - would likely be a blocker in the game is my guess and probably never touch the ball. We don’t allow our kids to sign up for things and quit. They have to see it through. I guess where I’m coming from is our town decided under 6 is too young for tackle. Every town probably has a cutoff. Maybe other places it’s 7 or 8. California is saying it should be 12 and that seems extreme but every town does have an age where the sport transitions. California is just centralizing that and bumping the age up significantly from what a lot of towns are likely doing. Selfishly I think our town shifted too young and believe my kids can’t be the only kids turned off by it that might of otherwise taken an interest.
There are flag leagues all over the state open to kids from other areas. Both UA and NFL flag have NJ leagues. Scratch it. Just saw you prefer local

That’s why swimmers and divers wear those thick safety caps and FB players can get by with flimsy helmets.
Due to the large number of impacts performed during a practice it is possible that there is a high prevalence of concussions in diving. Additionally the symptoms may be different due to the significant amount of rotation and twisting involved in the sport.

Concussions are relatively common, as are pulmonary contusions in which the force of impact bruises the lungs.

Perfect example of someone who doesn’t have a clue and thinks they are smart.
Thanks for proving my point

Lol like Trump dimwits know anything about fascism. You're so clueless you think a conman is honest. I love hearing the ignorance. Go eat another tub of donuts.

You deranged idiots (Biduncers) with TDS always bring him up every time your panties get rattled. Why are you so obsessed with him?

Do you want to bone him ?

I’ll bet you do, there is no other explanation.

You’re a joke - but you’re not funny.

Go ahead and reply with some stupid statement about Trump, my weight or my age , stay in your fantasy land with your sick mind. You are boring and no one likes you.

There’s a reason I responded to someone other than you.

His son was a D1 OT and has an open mind on the subject. And he has a sense of humor.

Don't you have a Putin rally to go to comrade? Better yet, why aren't you fighting for the country you love to take over Ukraine?

But your tone was that of diving not being dangerous. And that’s simply not the case

It has nothing to do with staying local.

Playing for your own town in NJ (in any sport) is very different from playing in a private league somewhere. The kids want to play sports to represent their town. When they are young they play what is offered in rec - it’s social and that’s where they get to try all the sports. Then they find the one (or ones) they like and compete for a spot on the travel team when they get a little older.

Yes your right - you can find other private places to play anything but no, it’s not the same.

Guess when they ramped up their enrichment programs?

Could it have been when the guy who bragged about identifying a whale on a cognitive test was in charge?

The guy who praised Xi, Putin and saluted a North Korean general?

Governor Gavin Newsom states that he would veto any tackle football ban.

Nanny state that, MAGA snowflakes:

We have to stop the nanny state!

The government must stay out of our business!*
