Basketball Jaden Jones to the NBA Draft

Guy is in denial over his basketball career. There is much more to the Jaden Jones story than many of you seem to know. He was getting national attention back when he was in 5th grade. From 5th grade until early High School the kid was told by virtually everyone he wasn't just going to be a first rounder, but a GOAT in the Association. He likely is struggling with the fall from grace from that to having to put in significant work just to be very good.

Wondering if these kids (or their reps / parents) benchmark against other players who are currently projected to be drafted. Regardless of how good of a prospect they might have been as a youth the difference might be the work they are willing to put in at a college level. Consider that Johnny Davis who was ranked in the 140s and had a moderate freshman season has continued to work/improve and is projected as a top 10-15 pick this year. Jones would be wise to stay in college and work hard on his craft.

Jones is intriguing. He has a lot of potential. NBA scouts were probably intrigued to see what he could do next season at Rutgers.... not intrigued meaning he is a 1st round pick this year.
