In addition to IU’s struggles with top talent, Michigan had two 5 stars last year, both of whom were drafted in the 1st round of the NBA draft, and they didn’t even make the tournament. All of Duke’s 5 starters last year were 5 stars, including 2 NBA first rounders and they lost 6 games and got bounced in the second round of the tournament. The biggest obstacle for Pike and RU next year will likely be unreasonable expectations.

Would love to see a star-rating update for college players after each year of their college career.

Some coaches deserve credit for recruiting 3-star guys who perform like 4-star players, ala Boo Buie. And if they stick around for 4 or 5 years, even better.

They're not just 5-stars. They're two of the three highest ranked recruits in the 2024 class.
And the third one is Cooper Flagg....headed to Duke...one of the best players I've seen in years.
Ace and Dylan are bringing a lot to next season's squad.
