Let's go METS 2016 thread ......Just get in and anything can happen!

Todd Frazier would be a perfect fit right now given Wright + Duda out for significant time.

That would have been the play this past winter when the Mets realized the Reds were ready to move him. A major opportunity lost on a local hero.

With Harvey returning 2 form we are about to see I'm very dominant string of games for the Mets. They obviously need to solve their injury problems, and when they do they are going to go on some kind of run.

Read an article in the NY Post on how Mets have no easy fixes to solve hitting woes. Flores and Loney showed some flash in Miami. Hope d'Arnaud can come back and contribute.

Flores to 3Rd for now dilson Herrera to second base, and Neil Walker to first base until Duda gets back

They're not moving walker or Cabrera from 2b or SS, it's out of the question and it's just not happening. The defense up the middle has been fantastic, light years better than last year. Dilson is going to have to wait til 2017

Are you suggesting that Lone should be benched? He is solid in the field, and perhaps his bat is alive. He is 7 for 17 since coming aboard.

Loney might very well be the answer at 1b for now. I think a trade to get Uribe back might be in order.

Maybe the Nats will give us Murph back. o_O

I'm still skeptical over what Murph has done so far. When he's in a slump, and flubbing a double play every night, it's going to be a real drag on the Nats.

The guy was in AAA the first two months of the season. Don't get too excited. With the injuries, the line-up the Mets put on the field Sunday was almost as bad as those from the first half of last year.

I could not believe it when I read that the Mets have scored 3 LESS runs than last year ! I'm willing to give away 2020-2022 for a championship. Brewers already like Wheeler and flores . Lucroy!!! Giving up one run shouldn't cause you to get suddley depressed like game is almost out of reach.

Schmuck Wilpons still owe 70M to robbed investors. No major moves to improve this roster.

NY needs legitimate owners for this NL franchise. And the beat goes on for the mets.

Even before they got caught with the $$, they refused to spend it.

That is not true at all. Prior to the Madoff fiasco, the Wilpons were quite the free spenders. It started with Hernandez/Carter, and continued right through the Minaya era of Pedro, Carlos, Carlos, and Johan. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. Remember the worst team money could buy? Whose money do you think bought it?

Out of the gate, Loney is looking like a good pickup. Batting just under .300, with a .444 slugging percentage. Let's see if he holds.
And Wilmer Flores has been batting .345 over the last seven days.
The whole lineup looked like toast yesterday against Pitttsburgh.

Somethings gotta give. Cespedes Conforto and granderson are too good to slump too long. I think they'll be fine, they were in an even worse position last year

The Wilpons shook down Doubleday for full ownership in 2002. Piazza would not have been signed if that had happened sooner. They currently sit, or loiter, at 19th in salary. Yes they used to average higher, but hardly competitive for the NY market.

Harvey good again and no run support . As a fan I give the ok to trade away future to get a solid bat. I wouldn't mind wearing a World Series champion t-shirt during a few so so seasons.

It wouldnt be a Harvey start if they didn't score for him...pretty sure the guy is back to being his normal self, he's been dominant these last 3 starts. the Yankee trolls must think 'dominant' means something else....

Anyway, that's 3 in a row for NYM after pulling last night out in extras. Winning run came on one of the strangest scoring plays I've ever seen. Tough road ahead in June with Pirates, Royals, Nats and Cubs coming up. Gonna be tough, they're really missing Wright Duda and d'arnaud

Swept by the Braves and now in 3rd place in the division. Harvey and deGrom are bombing this season.

Terry Collins just won the National League Pennant. He is not on the hotseat, nor should he be.
