Let's go METS 2016 thread ......Just get in and anything can happen!

Also, to the other Stankee poster cult follower who loves to call the Mets the JV, I try to listen to Stankee broadcasts but talk about JV. Oh, my, Waldmen and Sterling with his embarrassing calls are worst than a college radio show. Going back to the Tim McCarver days, and now with Darling, the Mets broadcasters are asked to do network and national games. If it was reversed,Stankee fans would be killing Met broadcasters. With Ron and Keith, you get in depth baseball knowledge, and stories told from a former players point of view.Susan and John are a joke, and give you nothing that even comes close. I guess you could counter my argument since my ears start to bleed after a few seconds of listening to that dribble.

There is no disputing the Mets easy schedule down the stretch......

You shoulda stopped right there.
And it's not just easy.....it's friggin unbelievably easy.
3 of 22 vs. a team with a winning record ?
Please.

The very fact that you have to reply to the JV stuff shows that you do sorta think of your team as the JV.

Another nice win. A sweep on the road against anyone is a bonus. Also the Reds had been playing well since the all star break. They are not good enough to take anyone lightly. Bats need to stay hot. Does Grandy have 40 RBIs yet?

Come on. 19 of 22 remaining games vs. teams with a losing record ?
Please. That's gotta be some kind of record.

Who has the best MLB record in NYC today?
Love it, remember Tico, he's brought in the heavy equipment to keep moving the goal posts back. Him and his side kick saw this day coming and have been preaching the schedule. Oh by the way, the Stankees better take no LESS than 6 of 7 against the Rays since they are about the same as the Reds ,Braves and Phillies. No less than 6 of 7 , in keeping with your theme of guarantee wins.

Sure, the schedule down the stretch is soft. So what? Three or four of five starting pitchers injured (Harvey, Matz, DeGrom, and Wheeler should've had a spot), three of the infielders down (Wright, Walker, and Duda), and still the Mets are pushing for the playoffs. The Mets have the 2nd most HRs in the NL and the 3rd best ERA. Dangerous, dangerous team again. ESPN guys are talking about them right now in the Cards-Pirates game.

Wait, you mean they're not talking about the Stankees? Why how can that be? They are America's team and # 2 in NYC, how can they be over looked and an after thought? After all, they have no cheaters anymore, and no one is taking roids now, can we give them a hand for that? To quote John Sterling "The Stankees are playing fair, they're playingggggggggggggggggfair".

Yankees 73-65
mets 74-66

and of course the Yankees have more than THREE games left vs. teams with winning records.
But then that's what happens when a team plays in the toughest division in MLB.

why don't you give the numbers on how many games for the whole season mets played against 500 teams and how many games yankees played against 500 teams, your easy schedule down the stretch line is nonsense. Your later games don't count anymore than your earlier ones do. If rutgers played Howard last should they be mocked cuz they finished with an easy team or is a win a win.

Is it that you don't read so good or you just don't wanna ?
Nobody said that there are any guaranteed wins on the mets schedule.
What I said was that playing only THREE of their last 22 games vs. a team with a winning record is quite the lucky break for the mets. And that they should send a Thank You note to the schedule -maker.

Sweep the Nationals next week and they would at least be 5.5 back for first place wirh about 20 games left. Unfortunately its been done before.

Already hedging your comments in case the Stankees say go 4-3 or worse against the Rays? I read very well, and it's not hard to understand your tired line.Your not implying an easy road to a playoff spot? Guarantee wins against lesser teams is your tired implied line. With that logic, the Stankees should and must take 6 of 7 from the Rays. My gut still says they will blow a couple heart breakers in late innings, send a Thank You note to your GM and Owners for not believing in the team.

The Mets on the field are playing awesome right now...

The Wilpons off the field...are the same clowns they've always been.

The mets have signed Tim Tebow to a minor league contract. SMH

The schedule comments are hilarious, baseball is different than any other sport. There's a different starting pitcher each day. These under .500 teams also currently have better players on their roster than the Mets do, all it would have took for the Reds to win a game was a Joey Votto blast. Brian Dozier is the hottest hitter in baseball and the Mets will face him soon too. Braves could shut the Mets down with Julio Teheran. It really does not matter in baseball, you can't just run through a schedule like the GS Warriors.

Its as if the Mets brass wakes up and says "Everything is finally going right in our world. How can we embarrass ourselves now? I've got it!...."

Wilpons want to make money. Now they can fill a 5,000 seat fall league stadium and actually charge for tickets. Mlb network will probably end up showing a few of these games . Wilpons still owe money to SNY and/or the madoff mess. WFAN I think said it was bi- yearly payments of 22 million each

If they don't make it, then you have a credible dig, but right now I don't see your point.

Well to be fair, Darling and Kieth are on TV while Sterling and Susan are on radio.

Now Sterling and Waldmen are pretty terrrible I don't disagree. And Kieth are Darling are excellent, but Howie Rose and Josh Lewin are the Met's radio team, and they are both very good(especially Howie).

No. But if RU was to play Howard 19 of their last 22 games I'm sure many would point out the weakness of their schedule.
You know I'm right about the remaining schedule for the mets.
It's a joke.

Exactly. Also, it's such a long season that it really depends on when you play certain teams: are they banged up, are you banged up? Did you miss Bumgarner when you played the Giants, things like that. The schedule argument is ridiculous. A couple of other Mets points: Cards have to go out and play the Giants next week, so that should be interesting. The Brewers have one of their better young pitchers going against the Cards tonight.

Since the Mets own 65% of SNY, that is not as bad as it sounds.
I'm a met fan. The Wilpons are a joke. Thank Christ that they finally stumbled onto Alderson. This year, more than last, shows how much he's done to revamp the system. With an almost historically high number of injuries to the rotation and starting line-up, they've been able to elevate some players from the minors and get a player or two in a trade or even off the waiver wire that allows them to still compete for a playoff spot. I'm very happy with this front office. And I'd love for the Wilpons to go away, particularly Jeff, whose judgment makes him the Ryan Lochte of baseball owners.

So what if Rutgers played the easier teams New Mexico and Howard last along with Indiana Maryland and Penn state and opened up the season with Minnesota Iowa Ohio state Michigan and Michigan state ? Still easy or moderate schedule or are u just a jackass

So it's 6 out of 7 from the Rays right? Their a joke so it stands to reason this should happen Mr. Truth.
Oh and Mr. Truth, don't wait 4 days to answer, show some balls go out on a limb and answer the question since Tampa's a joke. Say thank you to the schedule maker for giving the Stankees this little oasis of give me's in the middle of the hardest season ending schedule in the history of baseball. I don't even have to check or do the homework because as you have stated over and over again, playing 19 of 22 games against teams playing over .500 " at this point in time" probably has never been attempted before, lol.

Yup, he's a jackass that's embarrassing every Stankee fan out there.

Geez, not the sharpest tool in the shed, are you ? I never predicted how many of the 19 games vs. losing teams the mets would win. Nor did I predict how many of the three games that they have remaining vs. winning teams they would win. And I sure as hell didn't predict how many games the Yankees would win vs. Tampa Bay or any other team. I'm not much for predictions.
But I'm sure that the mets remaining schedule is as easy as any I've ever seen. You can't deny that. And I sure wish the Yankees remaining schedule included mostly the weaker teams in MLB like the mets does....instead of Boston, Baltimore, Toronto, and the Dodgers.

What nonsense. Did you even bother to check before you posted that crap ?
Back in April, 15 of the mets first 20 games were vs. teams that have a losing record this season.

BTW,If you can't see that the fact that the mets remaining schedule includes 3 of 22 games vs. a winning team is a favorable situation for the mets you're either blind or don't wanna see it. And whether they win all of them or lose all of them or however many they do lose......it's still a piece of cake that's a gift from the schedule-maker.
I still think a Thank You note is in order.

You talk out of both sides of your mouth going round and round. You can't have it both ways, geez. Why make the point AT all, you say you never predicted any thing, but sure as hell assume it's a gift, a piece of cake, lol,. Again,is it not with your logic, an easy slate coming up against the Rays for the Stankees? A "favorable situation" as you would say? You will, come Monday, if the Stankees sweep them, lol.

I can't believe you continually take the time to bold half a made up name over and over. Good lord.
