Micah Clark Moves up 33 Spots on Latest Rivals 250 Released Today

He won't play tackle year one but he may be in the mix at guard like AD did for us his freshman year.
Because of our depth and talent issues, Clark will probably be pressed into some sort of playing time, yea, most likely guard to start. However Anthony Davis was a WHOLE other level of player as he was a phenomenal talent in HS that we were lucky to get, but even he had to have an acclimation period to get used to the college game. If I remember correctly, he played consistently around halfway through his freshman season. I may be wrong thou

Without even trying or studying or anything else, AD could have very easily been the top raw talent in the nation. All you had to do was say, block this guy...and that guy was toast. His only issue was that someone had to say "block this guy"

I believe it may have been game 5. Also, AD came in at about 340 and worked to reduce body fat and gain muscle so that he was about 320 at that time.

Clark looks like he has all the tools to be a standout OT on this team. He does need to put on size and muscle.
This. AD was already NFL tackle size in high school. He also did a ton of work in the spring to reshape his body, losing 30 pounds of fat and gaining muscle. That said, Micah will have spring here on campus, which AD didn't have the opportunity to do. So, who knows, with seven months under Kenny Parker before training camp, I could see him playing guard his freshman year

Micah Clark looks to have great potential but he's not the monster Anthony Davis was. Jonathan Lewis looks the part but I watched him play a few times and he doesn't look like a B1G quarterback yet. Lewis throws nothing but fastballs.

The question is: Does he look more like a B1G QB than Gio? Because Oden and Allen do not at this point.

Was watching the Skins v. Cowboys game and they noted the much heralded Washington OL of the 80's. The Center, Jeff Bostic, was 245 at the time. That's barely a LB today. Dang, kids sure have grown big! As for Clark, presume he would need to be at least around 285 of muscle to be an effective B1G lineman, but just a guess.

Whoa dude, don't take things so personally here. This isn't high school with an "in" crowd or a popularity contest of who loves Rutgers more. We're all losers sitting in front of a computer debating the decisions of guys who are 10, 20, 30 or even 40 years younger than us.
So you are telling me I am not in the "in crowd" now. First 2-10 and now this. I need a drink.:sunglasses:

I saw an interview with Bill Walsh from back in the day... outside of Bubba Paris, the entire 49ers O-line averaged around 245. Paris was constantly made to work extra to deal with his weight issues, he ranged between 290-335 LOL

Clark does have the potential to be a beast but I doubt he plays as a frosh. He still looks like a kid and he's still a bit undersized. Anthony Davis was a 300 lb. mean looking manchild coming out. Micah Clark looks about 265 with a baby face.
Davis weighed a lot more than what the coaches wanted when he came to RU. He didn't arrive anywhere near 300.
