Ash said that the team "lost focus". Kind of mind boggling to me when you consider they were facing a team which had been suffering an equally terrible season. If there was any team they should have been up for, this was the one. But, the game ends up looking like we were playing Michigan and not Michigan State.
Now we have to look forward to a team that has everything laying right in front of them for great success. Has our team just quit? I hope not as they seemed to be keeping their chins up even after some brutal losses, but how else can one look at the final results?
If Ash and company have lost the team, these last two games could be even harder to watch than the last one. I really have no hope of beating PSU, but did hope we could at least keep it from being butt ugly. I do not see Franklin taking his foot off the gas for many reasons.
I also cannot lay all of the blame for this season on Flood. Yes, he was the wrong guy for the job and the cupboard wasn't filled with studs, but we still should have been better than this. Truly a mess well beyond what I thought this year would go like.
